The Rock did say that his WWF (which is WWE right now), contract was up in 2004 in this interview because this was 2001 (when it was still the WWF back then). I don't think he knew he was going to keep making movies for as long as he did, originally this was just something he was doing on the side in addition to what he was already doing in wrestling, but The Rock's movie schedule didn't allow him to have time to wrestle, so he just decided to retire and do movies full time instead.

Excellent interview considering how uncomfortable they made the Rock feel through out this interview. He's a good sport. The Rock was a true professional and did a good interview. Considering this was his first movie where he played a lead role, I bet he was a little nervous doing this interview. He's real humble, somewhat timid in this interview.

They said some really rude crap. I didn’t like it when he made fun of Rocks culture. If Howard’s would say it somewhere he wasn’t protected then fine ok say it but we all know Howard is bold without the cameras on. @@espojespo5 Test alone doesn't make a person self assured and confident. It has a lot more to do with the specific person and their personality in general. I mean you have tons of people on testosterone all with very different personalities, some timid and some not. Look at Big Ramy in bodybuilding, he's the biggest most jacked guy on the planet, and is anything but an alpha. You have to remember The Rock was always on testosterone as well. You have to remember there's never 1 reason for really anything in life, it's almost always going to be some combination, not one specific thing. I agree with the other guys statement a little bit, The Rock has learned to be more comfortable in general, but that Howard just made very uncomfortable here, which is something he was good at.

He could say terrible racist things (they were racist but funny, different times back then) and have her approval and get away with it. Of course they developed a relationship but in terms of a good radio host? My god he probably thought to himself everyday that she’s awful but what was he or anyone to do. Just fire her?
