Kristina nailed it! There aren't enough "simple" kayaks like the Bite, the CK1, the Quest, and the new Primo.

Great interview love this kind of content My other question is great beards how to you grow em like that ? I tried and failed lol do you cut or trim anything on neck? Keep these coming one of the great info honest channels left without the drama. I own a Hobie lynx 3 years and love it

Thank you! Honestly, I use beard oil for the "beard itch" and just let it grow. Stay away from products that promise "growth" I do trim to even out, otherwise it would get pretty crazy.

Love the stories and learning the history. Did Jamieson design the Bite? Im going to make a little video showing how the Bite is the absolute best kayak for creeks and headwater fishing. This after considering the CoosaX, the RVR, and the Shoalie, among others. I even looked hard at the Yupik and the Mayfly. I love paddling, but Jackson needs to make a 12'6" X 30" paddler i can take into the lower sections of rivers, so I can paddle upstream against stronger currents. I would love to add a third Jackson Kayak, but might have to look at Hobie's re-released Quest 12.5.

I'm sure he was part of it. It's definitely a team effort with design at Jackson

the mayfly was a great all around yak.. it was my river boat for several years.. i think the issue was ppl didnt think of it as anything other than a fly fishing platform..it was way better paddling than the bigrig..without sacrificing any of the bigrig stability and way better in the wind..keeping the mayfly.. the big rig yupik and liska coulda been axed..i have owed 7 diffrent jackson models and am a jackson fanboy i guess..lol but to me.. haveing 3 legit paddle fishing yaks(and thats counting the bite angler which in all honesty isnt a real fishing kayak..thats more rec that u can bring a rod) vs 4 i think peddle drives is a huge miss on jacksons part

They did axe the Liska and I wish they didn't. The Coosa X actually has some of the Coosa HD and Mayfly features in one kayak but I feel the Coosa HD and Mayfly were better skinny water kayaks for the majority of people. The Yupik was too good of a seller to axe, but as the price goes up that will probably change
