The RM Ricomax GC-1037 Metal Detector Review - A Beginners Machine Guide for Metal Detecting

Ойын-сауық

Last year I dug $186.43 in modern coins alone. Now this doesn't include silver coins, old coins, foreign coins, or coins not made anymore. It also doesn't include all the rings, charms, buttons, buckles, colonial artifacts, or other relics I found; just the modern coins you could roll up and take to the bank, $186.43.
I tell you this because metal detecting might seem like an expensive hobby to get into up front, but it's a hobby that over time can easily pay for itself and then some. But in case you can't afford a $1,000 machine, or a $500 machine, or even a $300 machine; I scoured the internet to track down every machine I can get my hands on that retails for $186.43 or less so I can do a review and go over the features on it so you can see what different machines are out there that each cost less than what an average detectorist can make back in modern coins alone in just one year!
This first review will feature the RM Ricomax model GC-1037. It retails on Amazon for $130.99 and we're gonna see what it can do and what it can't do. Because any machine is better then no machine to jump into the hobby of champions!

It dose give you depth reading.. If you look at the sensitivity meter when you go over a target. The bars will all light up if it's deep and show less bars for shallower targets.

Great idea for a video series! For the person or youngster just getting into detecting, with limited funds. Most reviews concentrate on detectors in the 2 to 3 hundred dollar range as a beginner detector, I'm looking forward to the rest of the reviews!

I just bought this metal detector for me and my young sons to give us something to do together, but while I am fascinated with the KZread videos of people using detectors, I honestly never knew how to really use one myself.....until now. Your video was awesome to say the least! I at least have enough info to get out there and find some goodies with my little boys, and for what it is worth, you now have a new subscriber! Thank you very much for the lesson!

You did it again Quarter Hoarder! I love watching your videos to see the relics, old home sites, and to see you and your team dig. I seriously love this idea where you test different low price metal detectors, which is right in the ball park for a lot of your viewers! I would love to get a metal detector one day! I have been watching Columbo all of the time. Your pup reminds me of his hound dog. You have one of those personalities like Columbo, too. If I don’t talk to you, I hope that you have a wonderful, blessed holiday season. I have this theory that COVID will disappear on New Year’s Day ( I know it probably won’t happen, but I will pray!) Thanks for this. I bought one last week( Amazon’s choice) as a starter and found this video looking for an explanation on how to use it. The directions aren’t very clear, at least for a beginner like me. It makes much more sense after watching this. Great job and glad you didn’t totally trash it! Subscribed.

I have a co-worker who has a 10-year old son who is currently obsessed with watching metal detecting videos, including your channel. For the money they ask you can do better than the at series. I was an at pro fan years ago but they've been surpassed. It's not a bad machine, just not the best bang for the buck. I'd go with a makro machine in the same price range or maybe one of the minelab vanquish machines if you don't need waterproof for hunting in the water.
