I would say the acting is a mixed bag. The standouts of the show are Betty's and Joaquin's actors. Their characters are meh to awful at times but it's pretty clear that it's not because of the acting. Archie is a bad character who has an even worse actor. Cheryl and Veronica are both dumpster fire characters with equally dumpster fire actors to match. Cole or dylan Sprouse whichever one does Jughead is an overrated try-hard that is trying to pay the bills after Suite Life. In conclusion, the CW needs to stop prioritising an actor's 'hotness'/ sex appeal over their actual acting ability. I would argue that the first season of Riverdale was actually really good. It was at least interesting. The writing took a nose dive afterwards though and the acting didn't help matters whatsoever.

My Sisters Comment (MSC): "who asked him though?" 2. dark betty's "I mIgHt HaVe To PuNiSh YoU", a really messed up scene MSC: *laughing* "i can't focus on anything else other than that travesty of a wig." 3. Cheryl's "WhAt ArE YoU gOnNa Do? CuFf Me?", one of many disturbing sentences ever uttered on this show. MSC: I would cuff her...then call the cops because hello? breaking and entering? attempted robbery? that sentence? throw away the key because of that line." 4. Veronica's "BuT wE'rE eNdGaMe," followed by Reggie's. MSC: "who in their right mind would use the word endgame to describe a couple they are half it?" 5. Jugheads whole "don't commit crimes" or whatever attempt at being in charge, really Riverdale? MSC: "Aren't they a gang? how can he tell a gang...not to gang? but i honestly can't take him seriously when he tries to be the...head snake in charge? whatever, when he has the face of someone who definitely does not like a teenager, let alone a 16/17 year old. 6.
