I just love your take on things Gaby😃. So down to earth & such fun to watch. I'm just amazed that the traffic up town was flowing like it was! Mr. Star Trek used to work round the corner from there & he used to go on a motor bike. Was a nightmare every day. A bit of posh is nice for a treat but as you say, I'm more of a Blackpool girl too! Or a Gt. Yarmouth one! I agree about the Victorian Arcade area in Yarmouth..so sad to see all the empty shops there these days. Great vlog as always & you looked so fab but Thumps defo stole the show in his dressing gown!😃 x J x

I enjoyed watching Tim's video, and I enjoyed your video too 😁👍 The Ritz would be too posh for me, though I could be persuaded to have afternoon tea 😊 The VAT being shown would be for the use of a businessman taking a very important client out for dinner, they can claim the VAT back. I see trays of eggs like that in Morrisons! 😆

Evening Gaby and Tim and thumbs, just catching up on your vlog, very posh hotel and you both look lovely and thumbs is super cute in his dressing gown and so reminds me of my sons when they were little, beautiful hotel and hope you had an amazing time. Loved your take on the whole experience & how you two make it so real- you both completely looked the part though! It did all look lovely..just not affordable for most people. Casper playing with the fruit was brilliant they get entertained by the easiest things at that age..might be cheaper to go to the fruit aisle next time 😆

Great drive down The Mall & past The Ritz Gaby! I've never been to London myself but it's definitely on my wish list. Shame about the Smoking at The Ritz! If I have a lottery win now I'm definitely not booking in for a stay there. Although I still would like to have the Afternoon Tea at The Ritz or an evening meal. You're very good at applying your make-up & Eye Shadow Gaby. I like Eyeshadow but I can never blend it right. Tim looked so uncomfortable in his suit he really didn't feel a Happie Chappie. But Casper was loving everything especially watching his program on the TV. It's great they had the Child Minding Service at The Ritz so you & Tim could have your evening meal. I absolutely loved the Dining Room at The Ritz & that Mother of Pearl Ceiling looked amazing I think Mother of Pearl is sort of a Sea shell shiny kind of colour. My Mum was only a Sliver Service Waitress at small local Hotels bit I'm sure she would of loved to serve at The Ritz! That Grand Staircase was really something as well! Very grand & swirly Stairs! And I loved all the clean carpets. I'm not sure if they are original Carpets kept looking as good as new. The Ritz was expensive but with the upkeep of the Hotel & cleaners etc I guess with London prices too plus the fact it is The Ritz I guess it caters for millionaires & the likes. I didn't like the Singer. You would of sounded much nicer Gaby. I didn't think she could sing very well at all! Your singing voice has a lot more warmth than hers! I didn't like the modern art at all & that horrible noise too! That would just get on my nerves. I'd rather stand outside & look at the Architecture! The grand Shopping Arcades where amazing with the big windows. My Mum worked as a Window Dresser in the daytime & a Sliver Service Waitress in the evening when she was young. Expensive Shoes👠did you buy any Gaby?😃 Lovely vlog great to get your perspective on The Ritz too!

Awww thanks Bex you’ve really absorbed the vlog.. Tbh in the lobby they had a huge rug and it looked grubby.. But on a whole… it’s Grand and incredible but I’m a realist with money and I believe in getting what you pay for and that’s why I’d rather be at the big blue Blackpool… it’s my favourite hotel in UK quality for the right price xx

@@GabyStarbuckx yes I agree there's no way I would stay in The Ritz i thought it would be right up my street but i wouldn't want to stay the night there. Shame about the grubby rug in the lobby too! I think I prefer modern hotels that look retro & some older hotels but to be honest like you & Tim said about The Ritz the older hotels tend to have that stale smoke smell even if smoking isn't allowed anymore. The Big Blue Hotel in Blackpool was lovely I remember Tim doing the review on that one!

It’s an experience going to the Ritz, and you looked like you enjoyed yourselves. Thumps was so cute in he’s dressing gown. I remember going o the Ritz on my birthday; I took some of my friends for afternoon tea…it’s was great. They even came out with a birthday cake and the waiters sang Happy Birthday… I will never forget it, the dress code for the girls was fascinates. We got some weird looks walking through Covenant Garden. I think that you would love the Afternoon Tea Gaby….maybe your next birthday? Great vlog x

Hi Gaby. It was lovely seeing it from a woman's perspective so different from Tim's point of view. I love seeing the art gallery but I am like you the sculptures I get not the modern ones neither could I get the video of the girl dancing in the muddy field. Give me the classic every time.

Wow, you and Tim looked a million dollars at the Ritz. You looked like you really fitted in despite how you may have thought yourselves. Thumps looked like he had a great time too. Regarding VAT, restaurants must always charge VAT on everything except food that is cold and taken away, takeaway vendors do not need to charge VAT unless the food is hot and/or the customer would like to eat in perhaps a designated sitting area. Furthermore, you don't have to be VAT registered until your taxable turnover exceeds £85k on a rolling 12 month period, but not being VAT registered means you can't claim the VAT back on your purchases.

Just a thought: As you were both there for work purposes, maybe you could claim the VAT back at least? 🤔 Just read this: "VAT can be reclaimed on meals for employees which are paid for by the business. This includes meals provided in a staff canteen. VAT incurred on meals taken away from the normal place of work by directors, partners or sole traders can be reclaimed provided the meals are for a business purpose." Might be worth Tim looking into, or having a word with his accountant 😊

Hi Gaby, loved the Vlog, I’ve never watched one Premiering before loved watching it at the same time as lots of other people. I think I’d feel really out of place somewhere like The Ritz it reminds me of the tv show Mr Selfridge. Like you a week in Blackpool suits me, or even a caravan in Great Yarmouth. That “art” of the person stamping in a muddy field wonder if they filmed it in Norfolk.

Saw Tim's video, vlog first, enjoyed it, think London is a good city to visit, but 100% think it massively overrated. Don't get me wrong it has loads of epic attractions to visit, but there are better places to visit than it, outside the city if I'm being honest. Same with The Ritz, its 100% overrated. Its on the ,list to visit & experience, but its 100% yeah overrated so I hear and have seen. Love visiting London, but think things are way overpriced for what they are, think they could be lower priced in places, especially with most people not able to afford most things currently due to high pricing on bills and food products. But anyways, cheers for another good vlog, have liked, shared and now subscribed & look foward to seeing more vlogs in the future. Cheers again. 😀👍

My wife has a Dyson hairdryer but I have never watched her dry her hair with it from start to finish. I have no idea what this means other than to say that if someone starts a KZread Channel called "Watch me dry my hair with a Dyson hairdryer" I may become a subscriber. Again, what does this mean? Maybe the answer is blowing in the wind.

As always, highly enjoyable to see your take on a trip/visit. You both deserve a little extra luxury occasionaly. Thumps in the dressing gown was an absolutely magic moment. In passing, depending on circumstances some people may be able to reclaim VAT. Tim is correct, service charge is optional and you could ask for it to be reduced or deleted. But, unless the service is atrocious, (which at the Ritz it would not be!) no one ever queries it.

Yo Gabs I know what you mean I ust to work in 5 star hotels I worked in one in Ascot and one in broadway in the cotswolds and I tell you know I cud tell you some horror story’s about what go’s on it was a porter so I was all over the place one time I was in the kitchen helping the lads on the pot wash cos it was well busy and at the end of the Service there were a few late in for the dinner the chiefs were running about trying to get the order together cos most things had been wiped down a chief came over to me and said did I throw any meat in the pig bin I said ye he went in the bin of waist food picked out the meat washed it under cold water and warmed in bk up and served it bk up I cud not believe my eyes and that a true story Gabs and that was a 5 star hotel have a top week Gabs c ya at coffee morning 🙂🎤✌️

Art place so pretentious. Stack of egg boxes - see them all the time & same with shoes in corner , should see my hallway with daughters shoes , so whats it all about ! X
