Simon Cotton plays the best version of Ronnie Kray I have seen. He captures his menacing demeanour with terrifying affect!

Very Underrated Movie!! This puts Legend to shame!!!

I honestly cannot understand the poor reactions to this film. The acting alone was superb across the board. Really looking forwards to the second part!

Carl duff agree the film is good and much more accurate then that bullshit Kemp ones , but they could have used two actors that actually look liked twins and also looked like Ron and reg!

Didn’t expect them to be so well spoken after watching the film. Good actors whether u liked the film or not.

Not at all strange, in fact it seems to be typical that non cocknies tend to nail the portrayal and/or exaggeration of the 'cockny character', which works very well in film/theatre. They have the additional means of observing 'the cockney' from a discerning vantage point as both are londoners but usually at arms length, socially, (gaining a sort of aerial collective view of sorts or that of holding a magnifying glass from a slight distance). The Krays themselves actually seemed to lack self awareness and self confidence when speaking, even coming off as coy on film and probably at casual face value. This film and the actors more or less expertly captured the vibe and energy the Krays wanted their competition, rivals and such to see, (and in all likeliness the way they probably romanticised themselves to be in private). Loved every second For that particular angle and facet of the Krays, this is the best portrayal yet, no maybes.

I loved this movie. Screw bad reviews this film kept me glued the acting the scandal the story. And the portrayal of the Krays was very believable.

Great interview, can`t wait to see this.

Cool interview! Just to clarify, Martin Kemp played Reggie and Gary Kemp played Ronnie in the previous movie. I think you mixed the two up here.....no matter.....!

I'd love to meet Ronnie & Reggie if they were still alive today.

This film OK but they don't look nothing like twins or the krays

brilliant film(s) I preferred the fist part These guys deserve to be Hollywood greats

Not a bad film all in all but Ronnie was vastly overacted by Simon Cotton,in my humble opinion.

this film, for the budget and the newcomers was just great...the lack was in the script, and the casting, as in the person who played reggie, was a really good actor but miscast, he didnt really or look or come across as reggie kray, however the actor who played ronnie was very impressive... a bit more polish on the script and this would have been a master peice... and for the first time, how these boys described the krays was bang on, no holds barred, that is why the krays are subjects of intrest. top lads

Rise of the krays and fall of the krays were both really good films! The acting was also really good. I especially enjoyed Simon's portrayal of Ronnie, whether it was an accurate portrayal or not is irrelevant, it was psychotic and very entertaining. The one thing that really got under my skin though was the fake voices. Especially Reggie. There was no need for the unrealistic deep gruff voice. It really didn't suit and was just unnecessary. The krays themselves didn't even sound that way.

sounds like public school boys they sounded quite good in the film a lot better than the kemps portrayal

it was alright, but had a terrible ending and missed so many more interesting and important aspects of their life

+Gaming Greats the film is two parts, the rest of their story will be in 'The Fall of The Krays' released early next year I believe

Gentlemens Goods thanks you, i eventually came across it and it said 2015 but just no actual date which was a shame, alot of bad reviews for the film, i thought it was good but wanted a decent ending, still hoping for one, ive heard alot of the films "untrue" but when do we ever get 100% factual movie based on gangsters really, there are always usually missing or mixed up facts, i thought it was good for what it was.

The ending of the first film The Rise of The Krays was rubbish. I preferred the second film.

Turned it off after 25 minutes. Could have been alot lot better, poor dialogue poorly directed. A very difficult film to watch.

theese 2 actors made it .the other kray films are shit Martin kemp was shit ed Hardy was shit legend was a joke .rise of the krays is amazing
