"The Rise of Skywalker" is TRASH... But there's still good stuff in it!

TROS become available on Disney+ for Star Wars Day and since I hadn’t watched the movie in its entirety since it came out in theaters, I thought I’d sit down and see if it was a bad as I remembered… And it was, BUT there was a lot of good in the movie that I had forgotten about! I always try to play devil's advocate so in the interest of fairness, I wanted to do a positive spin on the movie and focus solely on the things I liked about it, and there is quite a bit surprisingly!

I really wish we got to see Rey and Rose's friendship, especially because female friendships are so rare in film.
Thank you for the breakdown of the scene with Ben forgiving himself for killing Han. I hadn’t quite put that together myself, so the scene felt like something was missing with Han only being a memory. Like, it was touching, but fell a bit short. Thanks for bridging that gap. I also didn’t realize that Rey built her own lightsaber. I thought she found it. I feel like I remember hearing someone else mention something about the yellow lightsaber in Star Wars lore. I appreciated a lot of the things you appreciated about the movie, even though it still has many flaws, so this was a fun watch.

Rey's lightsaber is also a nod to Bastila Shan from KOTOR.
What about chewie’s reaction to Leia’s death? I almost started crying in the theater.

Agree with everything you said! Literally crying tears but the end of this... definitely would give up a 1000 kisses for Ben Solo to live! ♥️

Phantom Menace bad? I mean... Darth Maul best bad ass character before he was made ridiculous with spider legs for no reason. True, Binks was weird, but besides that it was a really good movie.

@@MagentaCartherWrites I like the prequels although I agree they aren't that great. But at lease it expanded the universe and characters. Which I felt the sequel trilogy didn't do enough of.
I think we all agree that the actors and the set designers did their best and gave us actual good moments. The story overall and also the character writing just ruins it for me.

Besides the Ben Solo moments, this film WAS TRASH. Unforgivable Trash. Oh .. Adam Driver/Ben Solo will be back. Ben is not dead ..........

I really hate CinemaSins, so I was defiently taking a note out of CinemaWins book and trying to be positive, even though I don't like the movie as a whole! :-)
