@@aidan-47591.5 is a broken an poorly implemented mess with half solutions to core problems, Vic2 still tops it, and it isn't even like CK3vsCK2 where CK2 is better in terms of content, but CK3 is good enough to act as a replacement.

He's definitely much more positive on it since his 1.5 update video and said himself he thinks its moving in the right direction which I agree with, I'd say it'll hopefully be good enough he'll start using it in maybe 2 years

No, it's correct. The first Roman is The Bully, because you don't expand your territories without conquering and bullying your neighbors. And the second Roman is The Good because the child deserved it.

This might be one of my favorite mega campaign episodes ever. Between dismantling two empires, the Roman assassination larp, and the wars/plots against a super-sized Mongol empire this was beyond incredible

Imagine the history books about the Romans vs Mongols. > Mongol horde declares war on Roman Empire (which is in Germany and Austria) > Roman Emperor pushes back Mongols, then is immediately assassinated by another Roman > Next two Roman Emporers are assassinated, one for sure by the Mongols the other most likely another Roman >The first assassin becomes the Emperor >Immediately goes insane and starts an assassination on the Mongol Empress >Succeds, single handedly breaking the Mongol Empire >Roman Emperor in celebration commits suicide >His son takes over and then immediately is assassinated

There is something ironic about the last Roman dissolving the Roman Empire

It's very historically accurate that by the end the Roman emperors drop like flys.

I just finished a roman hellenic guy in sardinia to Roman empire mega campaign myself. I guess men only want one thing and its horridus!

I think Vic 3 handles conversion better than Vic 2 which... kind of freaks out and tries to enforce history on obviously not historical scenarios (as opposed to Vic 3's design being based around On the Ground Conditions that more naturally pays with it). But I understand why people don't do it. It's that old comfortable pair of shoes sort of thing. Vic 2 is... pretty bad in my books. But it's the bad they've had for so many years it's familiar and cozy.

The fact that a ruler from Greece became the ruler of Bavaria is kinda ironic because historically, it's been the other way round after Greece gained independence from the Ottoman Empire.
