Part 4 "Tiny Holland, Great Empire" recounts the rise of the Netherlands from its humble beginnings in the 16th century as a country the size of Gyeongsang Province to its belle epoque in the 17th century. In 1492, Spain banished its entire Jewish population, beginning their exodus through Portugal which culminated in their settling in the Netherlands. When the Dutch declared independence from Spain, freedom of religion became its national creed. Among those who left Spain were talented merchants who exacted their revenge by engineering the Netherlands' rise as the hegemon of European commerce, bringing Spain to its knees.

Very good docomentery! Many big countries can not acknowledge a small country being great, Why not? Its about people.
Goede documentaire !!
Judging by the reactions there is no interest from other countries. Is it disbelief or unwillingness to accept that this small country had so much power, not to mention with all its invention from Stock exchange in the 17 century to the ASML chip machine today, so much influence on the further developmend of man?🤬

They all know. Even Warren Buffet refers often to the first Stock exchange crash ever. The Tulip bulb market Bubble. The Netherlands ended the dark ages.

I think the republic of the seven united Netherlands isn't going to catch on as a title. The Netherlands didn't exist as a country and Holland was the dominant province, so dominant they divided it in north and south later on. And since in those days Holland was the most used term and we can't decide how other countries name our country. Plus the fact that this documentary was made in Japan and the Japanese word for the Netherlands is Orlande. I think they chose the right name, even if it's not the united province of the Netherlands.
Too much drama! Music too loud etc!
Goes too slow, too much pauzes, too much music

This has almost nothing to do with the book.
What a biased and misinformed piece.
