How did Disney go from janky cartoon dreams to monarch of a global media empire? If you want some of the answers, watch this video!
Disney began as a simple animator and storyteller with a dream. The company faced various challenges in its early days: facing off against other innovative animation studios, the turbulence of the Great Depression and World War II, and even internal labor struggles caused by Disney’s authoritarian leadership style and harsh demands.
But despite all this, Disney has managed to build some of the most memorable stories of the 20th century. Will this hold true for Disney’s future? This video won’t answer that question… but perhaps we’ll make a follow-up sometime ;)
For more information on Disney, Encyclopedia Britannica has a fairly in depth article: www.britannica.com/topic/Disn...

There’s a few parts to this story I feel like are missing: - Walter’s time creating Oswald the Lucky Rabbit for Universal - The propaganda shorts that Disney made during World War II - Disney’s rapid decline in the 1980s which is considered the “dark age” in Disney’s history that only began to turn around in the 1990s
@Cowboy_Bunny

Yea, that adds a bit more depth to WHY he made Mickey. Also it would add more character to Walt that yes people were supportive just in the beginning he was betrayed Disnee and stole Oswald. (Then got him back in the 2010s)

Walt Disney was working at Universal(still around today) and created Oswald the lucky rabbit but then Universal took the character away from him. He then later created Mickey Mouse after seeing a mouse on his desk; Disney's biggest rival is Universal; who was there from the beginning.

@@brickgamingandcars bud,i cant really understand,but i think what you are saying is that dreamworks is bad because its new film teenage kraken is similar to disney's little mermaid,and because its racist????,ok the idea of teenage kraken is similar to little mermaid but the story is very different,and dreamworks is not racist,disney is WOKE and pushing their agenda even though they're losing money by doing so,your mind is confused on what racist is,yes disney is always talking about "inclusivity and other shit" but they cant handle it and instead makes these characters of colors look stupid,its okay to have inclusivity but they're just forcing it at this point,disregarding the story and ruining their recent films,dreamworks however have made bangers with puss in boots 2 for example being awesome, and focuses on what makes a film good instead of trying to send some stupid "message".

I am currently crying so hard right now. This is seriously the most beautiful, well put together story ever. I can’t believe how magical it was 1:12. That part truly made me shed a tear. And especially at 2:56 that part was just so truly heart touching words can not describe the series of emotions I felt. I absolutely loved the climax it had insanely excellent detail. Oh and we can’t forget the conclusion. The conclusion was the greatest and saddest conclusion I have ever seen better than any of the books I have read. Thank you so much for creating this absolute masterpiece. This is essentially the most important masterpiece of film history. It is a tragedy that this, it can’t be called a film, but a transcendent emotional experience, will be inaccessible for most. It beautifully encapsulates the human struggle to its basics; suffering, pleasure, faith, despair. It connects with the characters within the viewers, individuals suppressed within our own subconscious. It stays vibrant, fresh, and revolutionizes the art of storytelling and filmmaking while making a damn of statement on what it means to be human. Entertaining, gripping, and simply exhilarating. This might be the most impactful piece of art I’ve come across in my life, and I’m definitely coming back to it in the near future to study it more deeply. this is an absolute masterpiece , I was brought to tears listening to this and seeing the bacon go whirly swirly in a circle countless times. it absolutely moved my soul , and I don't think I can ever be the same. this bacon has changed my entire mental state , I am now at peace with who I am and what I will be doing later in my life. i have forgiven all my enemies and now I am a man of a pacifist life. I will move on , gotta move on , as the song says. the soviet russia is so inspirational , it shares it vast wisdom with all of us , and we are all so lucky that it would bestow it's great words with us. we are all children on russia. hail russia. hail russia. This made me tear up. I'm struck by awe by this masterpiece. Especially when the flag of soviet russia getting lowered. You can really hear the breaths between the music artist, empathizing his love for this country. Truly what I call modern art. This was the most legendary performance by any piece russian singer I have ever watched. The acting was top tier and very life changing. This is one of the greatest work from joseph stalin I have ever seen especially on 3:24. Thank you.
"We'll scare them, yet bring them hope" - just wanted to say, that sounds like the message of the Fantasia segment 'Night On Bald Mountain/Ave Maria'.
