Thank you so much for posting this! What's shocking is there is still a prevalent view that Asians are inferior sprinters in conversations I'm seeing online - the data and trajectory definitely indicates otherwise! Asians are not a monolith, there is massive genetic diversity. I went to school in Australia and some of the fastest people were of Asian background, some of the least sport inclined were also Asian - a very diverse mix of people! As someone whos of Asian background, I always had a feeling we would see more elite Asian sprinters and more elite asian soccer/football players. We are starting to see both. I really hope more Asian kids see this and shoot for the stars. Too many of us are fixated on taking the safe, academic focused route in life. Myself included.

Had su saved that amount of energy where he ran that fast. time in the semi final which was impressive but he burned himself out he should’ve run just fast enough just to make it to the final , then if he came back and ran that time in the final he would’ve medaled or he would’ve been pushed mentally to run faster and win it , just think an asian Guy winning the Olympic men’s 100 meters would’ve bought so much attention and challenged so many narratives.

Su Bingtian shattering the non-african 100m record, fastest ever 60m split and setting his crazy fast PB at age 31 (old by sprinter standards) whilst being pretty heavy for a runner of his height 🤨 Pretty amazing if its all legit, but i have my doubts. Li Fabin who won his gold medal while balancing on one leg during the lift 😒 I'm not buying it. But Boonson seems pretty legit (i hope), way to skinny to be on PED's. I'd like to see a genetic study as to why there's so many fast asian runners at the moment and whether it's genetics or simply the fact that 60% of the human species is Asian.

@@mac195000 I mean we have European ancestry because rape was a real thing. Also when you look into it historically these numbers are not a monolith. For example, Jamaicans on average will have 10 - 15 percent European ancestry ( myself having only 8.5). Where as the majority of Jamaicans all have collision of the very specific tribes ( which were the specific tribes brought to Jamaica by request of Spanish and British settlers/slave owners). So yes European ancestry, but it doesn't amount to much in Jamaica...to which you will find Jamaicans that aren't mixed with white at all but Chinese, South Asian, and Arabic/Western Asian due to migrational patterns. I myself am 90 percent West African, with the biggest populations coming from Nigeria, Ghana, and Congo ( like most Jamaicans and Haitians).

Coleman's record is legit and he's known as the best starter around (Su raced him many times in the 60m and 100m and lost each time). Su ran the fastest first 60m ever but ran one of the slowest last 40m and nearly lost and burned himself out while celebrating like he won the final (not a good race when Baker literally tied him to the hundredth of a second at the finish, Su blew that big lead he had). Su was fast enough to medal in the Olympic final but he said he planned on the semifinal being that for him. In contrast Jacobs also set a European record in the same semifinal race but didn't get excited about it because the goal was to win the final not just run a fast time. If anything Su just showed how to be inefficient. Bolt had the fastest 60m split ever (6.31) until Su beat it but Bolt also finished that race strong and didn't fade at the end (he ran 9.58 for the current world record). You're never supposed to use all your energy at the start of the race. That's foolish.

That sounds like someone who can improve over the years but he's not at a level yet to be mentioned in this video. He needs to run like 10 flat in the 100m AND knock almost 2 seconds off of his 200m PB to compete with the first sprinter on this list Zhenye. No disrespect to him but the times he has are good high school times (both are much slower than Boonson ran at 16).
