It's not just about the Achilles tendon. Hip flexor, hamstring, even pectoral and shoulder tendon also play key role for faster sprinting

That's true to an extent but the achilles would still be the most important, and I didn't want to bring too much info to the table in an already technical video 🙏
You have to train all tendons that help your athletic performance. Lifting for strength is a great way to balance tendon strength with muscle strength.
Great video and I learned a lot from it!
Amazing video! Pogo jumping as I type this! 5:56 that's me!

I jad good RSI when I was younger, Could dunk at 5'8". No weights. I was an ok sprinter, but I was a competitive middle and long distance runner.
Jonathan Edwards is a freak. My favorite athlete.
many say that if want to get faster you shoould lift weights

This is true but it's more about how you lift.

Yeah you probably should - but that's only one aspect. Many other elements, like described here for example, are often overlooked.

Lifting for strength can build a good base, if you only do plyos you will peak at a lower potential. But there is a certain point where lifting becomes counterproductive
Very useful brother 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Very informative video
For sprinting which is more effective depth jump or drop jump?
hiset jump par vidio bana
How important is the patella and quad tendon when sprinting. And how do we make these more elastic?
@Leonidas-eu9bb

Not so for sprinting. But very important for jumping

Make them elastic but using them in that way bouncing and jumping

Important to not fuck up your knees. Dont neglect them or any tendons or muscles.

Not nearly as important as the achilles when it comes to sprinting - although that doesn't mean you should train and condition them too
nice vid

That therm means absolutely nothing. it just a buzz word a scam. In every body muscle tendons and fascia work as a unit it cannot be separated.
Depends on personal goals off course but lots of muscle and mass doesnt help logivity wise. Unatural amount of muscle mass is not practical. Look at how most soldiers train and look.. Lots of muscle often doesnt go together with good stamina and being able to run all day.
y r u spilling my secrettt
show me a video of exercises that actually increase my speed please.

The exercises shown here do *actually* increase speed man 😂
Vertical force is the biggest myth. Yes its true elite sprinters demonstrate large amounts of vertical force, they also exhibit large amounts of horizontal force. The vertical force is to keep then upright and fight gravity as they move forward. A lot of influencer coaches are messing people up by talking a lot about vertical force.

That is an interesting debate - although I didn't make any reference to it in the video, no? If you were meaning the vertical jump example I used, that was just to demonstrate the idea of the SSC. The SSC is active in pure vertical jumps, as well as more horizontally directed steps too such as during early acceleration, so it's not as if it's just a vertical-specific feature.
The most important factor to run fast is DOPING !
