It's amazing they stayed in the Premier League for so many seasons without a home ground. I've always liked AFC Wimbledon and think it was shocking what happened to them (The original Wimbledon)

This was back in the days of satellite TV. I saw one match of this team and was afraid they were going to hurt someone, but fascinated that they were almost playing rugby. They flew around the pitch with a reckless abandon I have seldom witnessed since. Thanks for telling the story Finners.

Five of us went to the Final in Phil Bergann’s Van…all piling out to put bets in for 1-0 in the bookies in Earlsfield. The effort to destroy the best team on the planet was immense and to be applauded forever

Wimbledon’s rise occurred right when I left the UK for America in the early 80’s, so I knew nothing about it. Back then, football news and games of any kind were impossible to get in the US. At least now we can get all the EPL games and cup finals. An expat watching in S Florida.

Best cup final ever ...I was 8 years old and still upset about 86 . I ran around to my cousins house to scream ...WIMBLDON ! and was cheased down the path by my uncle. It couldnt havent to a more deserving club !

I miss Wimbledon from the 80s .. loved it when you won the fa cup.. commentators were crying 🤣🤣🤣
