At one point in time, ROH was the top indie wrestling company, and later on, would become easily the top wrestling promotion entirely outside of TNA and WWE. Some of wrestling’s top stars made their name in ROH before making it big, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Adam Page, The Young Bucks just to name a few. But nowadays, with the rise of other wrestling companies outside of WWE in North America such as AEW, MLW, NWA, Impact making a comeback and of course, New Japan Pro Wrestling, ROH doesn’t find itself as high on the totem pole of wrestling companies as it used to be. Despite major financial backing from the Sinclair Broadcast Group, and even having a national TV deal on Destination America in 2015, ROH is at a low right now and aren’t able to compete with the heaps of competition in the pro wrestling world, so what happened?

Man, ROH was the stomping ground for so many WWE and TNA stars.
ROH put all their eggs in the Elite/Bullet club basket. So when they left, they took most of the interest for ROH with them
They had a good run I'll give them that, being around for 17 years is impressive
I went to G1 supercard in MSG and man that was a great show.Little did we know that was truly the last great show.
It ironic they replaced ECW, a company that had it talent's raid by wwe and wcw. And they were raid by WWE and TNA
Feel like when they lost cody Rhodes and the young bucks they started to lose all of their top stars
Fun fact: Ring of Honor's first PPV was Respect Is Earned, which aired on July 1st, 2007. (Although it was a taped show, and PPVs wouldn't be a live thing until Best In The World 2014)
ROH had so much hype and buzz in 2018 that I thought for a second they were going to be what AEW is now. Sadly that didn’t happen. Kinda sucks cuz they had a lot of potential
I feel bad for ROH, once Matt Taven won the belt it went downhill fast. IMO they should've gave the belt to Marty Scrull, but it really didn't matter regardless considering that most of the ROH wrestlers jumped ship to the WWE and a few former Bullet Club members decided to create AEW.
As a fan of Wrestling and attending a Wrestling show, ROH blew me away at a string of house shows here in Virginia.

I was at the Garden for the G1 Supercard, what a great show. The ladder match was actually pretty fun and everyone I talked to during the show enjoyed it.
Just wish The Bricoe Brothers got more exposure. Fantastic team and wrestlers

Roh is so dead that if it went out of business tomorrow, the only three superstars I’d pick up would be rush, dragon lee, and bandido.
Also, correct me if I'm not remembering, but I'm pretty certain Styles never won the ROH title.
Not gonna lie, ROH will appear on the Docu-series Dark Side of the Ring, so many incidents happened backstage.
I think there is a bit misinformation on the Bully Ray Incident. The "fan" was using derogatory terms and throwing drinks on the female wrestlers and it got to a point where one wrestler who was at ringside (cant remember who it was) couldn't focus on kayfabe and got in the fan's face asking what his problem was. Bully Ray, who wasn't just a wrestler at that time but part of the management and booking team got out asked the fan to follow him to the backstage where he asked the fan to enjoy the way he wants to but in the limits (Bully clarified what happened on hiss part on twitter and said the fan was apologetic when he confronted him and changed the statement afterwards). But in fairness this all happened because of lack of security and that fan should have been escorted out straight. Still, blaming Bully Ray for that incident is incorrect.

This makes me so sad because ROH was what rekindled my love for pro wrestling. I remember the CM Punk run, the Bryan Danielson run and many many fantastic matches over the years...
