This just proves Pep's brilliance like imagine how Pep would have developed Xavi Simmons, Ilaix Moriba, Pedri, Gavi, Balde, Fati ,Yamal, Abde, Nico, even Dani Olmo... Barcelona have always had Young Talents problem today there isn't anyone who could really take them to the next level like how Pep did for Iniesta, Busquets, Xavi and Messi, hopefully Xavi Hernandez is gonna solve that.

Gakpo is a fucking baller mate. I'm a liverpool fan and he took about 2 games to settle in and has been class ever since.

Some things you missed in the video: - PSG didn't want to let him go. PSG was expecting Xavi to sign a new contract and then go to PSV on a loan. Instead, Xavi last-minutely decided to sign a permanent contract at PSV. - Xavi is a midfielder, but he has played most his games as either a left-winger or right-winger. Especially after Gakpo and Madueke left. - Xavi Simons became the topscorer of the Eredivisie in his first season, thanks to that brace in the final game vs AZ.

I am Dutch as well and I have followed his carreer from the start, his best choice was to leave PSG and he shouldn't return there. He should go play champions league with PSV and be sure to start all games of the season... If he continues to proof himself soon enough he will have a big name to be a starter at bigger clubs for sure. One of the most talented players in the world 100%

Even though I'm a Madrid fan i always wanted him to do good when he was in La Masia as he was an exceptional talent and i was shocked when Barca let him go to PSG coz he could have easily replace anyone in the starting XI... Psv fan here and i’m praying every day he stays next year😂. Without him we would have ended like fifth or sixth last season. Really special boy who is likeable if he plays for you but i can understand the hate from the rivals

It was a free transfer, so it's not a real 'buy-back' clause. The contract that Xavi signed with PSV states that if PSG were to do a bid valued over 6mil, and Xavi Simons wanted to move back to PSG, PSV would have to accept his request to move there. So the clause is only activated if Xavi wants to.

Title is a bit dumb, he never "fell" , he just chose his way of developing from Barca to PSG to PSV to who knows next , he is still in his "rise"

Xavi Simons left the Barcelona academy because he wanted a real chance to be in the first team and went to PSG, who has a really horrible policy when it comes to youth players and have constantly showed that throughout their project and he didn't get enough chances and now at PSV, he has had his breakout season and there are top clubs that are chasing after him now. This was a good move for Xavi Simons going to PSV, because you see the potential he has, the skill the excellence and he scored a lot of goals this season and that's part 1 in his development, getting experience of playing first team football and he needed that. Hopefully his stock continue to rise because he's such a talented player and very soon, if he keeps playing like this, Xavi Simons will soon earn a big money transfer to a bigger club, because he could be ready to play for an elite club if he continues performing and developing well at this rate.

Barcelona are bigger than any player. Any young player that makes demands about game time like Xavi Simmons or money like Ilaix Moriba will be let go. It is sad that these young kids are given the wrong information at a young age by agents and even parents some time. Moriba and Simmons would be a part of this new Barca Set up alongside Pedri, Gavi and Balde if they were patient. The club has so much young talent, after they left, Ansu Fati arrived and then players like Angel Alarcon, Ilias Akhomach, Ferran Jutgla, Alavaro Sanz, Estanis Pedrola, Mika Marmol, Inaki Pena, Marco Casado, Chadi Riad, Aleix Garrido and Lamine Yamal are all Barca graduates that made their Debut under Xavi as a coach, that's 11 players and he couldn't use them a lot because they were in the promotion race in Barca Atletic. Now its up to them to continue working hard and showing that they deserve another chance also Dani Rodríguez, Pau Prim, Marc Guiu, Hector Fort and Unai Hernández all made there unofficial debuts against Vissel Kobe. Let's also remember that they activated the levers and said that Barca has to reach Quarter Final every season to make back the money we used in the levers so when we got knocked out, Barca had to make sure they secured the league that's why he was so focused on the main players. I'm sorry but Barcelona are not victims, rather than building the next generation they kept giving Messi and others insane contracts that they couldn't actually afford. They could have just paid Simons what PSG were offering and they'd have had a player with insane value but they chose their way and that's why they are broke. You can't expect anyone to accept 33% of a wage that another employer would pay. Barcelona were too arrogant about it all. It was only a million a year, that's peanuts for what he's worth now.

The pen he missed wasn't even that bad, it was good goalkeeping and should have been harder but at least he went for the corner instead of doing some stupid panenka or hitting it hard and completely blowing the shot.

Lol the bit about him leaving Barcelona to PSG for football reasons is just a blatant lie. He left because Barcelona wanted to put him on a standard youth contract that was worth around a third of what PSG were offering. You have to ask yourself why suddenly Raiola came on to the scene when his dad had represented him for years. The whole thing was about money, who have PSG ever produced from their academy lol? He would have been better off at Barca but hes quality and will probably go back there in the end anyway.
