I remember as a kid in the early 90’s getting introduced to hip hop, NWA was one of the groups i heard, always liked them as a group and when they went solo Would have loved seeing them recolaborate back together, RIP Eazy
Actually, "Ice Cube" was actually the smart one cuz he saw the okie doke & wind up not signing his contract. He's absolutely right not to sign just to get pennie's on a dollar. So he goes solo & he wind up signing on East West Records. When "Amerika's Most Wanted" album dropped...OMG, that album setted the bar miles high for West Coast hip hop. Although I liked NWA without "Cube" the N@#&@ 4 Life" album wasn't the same. It didn't have that Von Sway. 😎👍😎👍😎👍

@khingofswordz43

@@187izm I agree "Cube's" "Lethal Injection" album fell short...Cube throughout his career went thru identity crisis....meaning, during "Amerikkkas Most Wanted" he sounded more East Coast due to the "Bomb Squad" made most of his beats. Then "Kill At Will EP" he was still on the East Coast sound but it was dope. By "Death Certificate" "Cube" join The Nation of Isam so that album was black conscious.i admit I wasn't used to hearing "Cube" speak on black consciousness but now it was crazy dope album. By Lethal Injection album it was sort of confusion album. In one hand it really sounded East Coast. But in the other side he was stepping into the G Funk vibe. Any albums after that was more club radio friendly but still hood....

Millions listen to their music everyday, can't say they fell off. Of course the ones that are alive are old and have retired long time ago, so they won't see any big spikes in popularity in the future but their status and popularity will always stay the same for a very long time. Absolutely unbeatable group, every member had it's own meaning and own place in the group. RIP to all the ones who didn't make it (in the context of living).
It goes way beyond rap or hip-hop, NWA and the individual members of the group are probably the most influential artists in the last 50 years
I love everything abt them. The come up is immaculate. Believe in yourself and u can do anything.
Just saw ice cube last night for the first time fuck he can rap
At the end of the day all they was tryna do is report from the streets the only way they knew how to 👊💯 their art is a reflection of their reality 🔥

New subscriber! So I just watched the Straight Outta Compton movie and that movie was a banger and a masterpiece! It's really interesting of how N.W.A. made the popular album and also a song "Straight Outta Compton!" as well as the controversial track "F*** Tha Police" And then why did N.W.A became a downfall for them! Ice Cube doing his own songs and his movies, Dr. Dre went to Death Row Records, and Eazy E staying with his manager Jerry! The saddest part in Straight Outta Compton was when Eazy E died of AIDS! It's interesting to learn about N.W.A. So 10/10 for Straight Outta Compton & also thanks for uploading this as an honor of The 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop!
I was a collage DJ in the 80’s in Montreal , played them with much puck rock and Reggae
I was listening to EAZY E & NWA in the 3rd grade 1988. I remember getting called a wanna be because I was wearing a Raiders hat. Because Eazy E did 😅. The stigmatism of gang paraphernalia was real. Btw, I’m still a Raiders fan.
The rap game is full of sad stories!!!!
Who's down and whose not !!! Cool intro !
No more ? is still one of my favorite songs

Ice cube is by far the greatest ghost writer in rap history. He wrote express yourself, fuck tha police, straight outa compton, gangsta gangsta, and more for N.W.A. He wrote boyz n the hood, and most of Eazy’s album “Eazy Duz It” like “No more ?’s” and more. Obviously he wrote his own music. And he’s written so much more for other artists
