It's the irony and a curse of two gemini friends, they can be best friends and then be two worst enemies. They both got shot 4x as if one bullet was for each persons character, they were both gangsters and at the same time they were both good, worm and loving persons. They were together like yin and yang, a mirrors of each others. It's just funny how stars align sometimes.

It was a beef created by media because they knew how sensitive rappers were in those days about their thug image. It was good for marketing, not good for hip hop because we lost two very important people in hip-hop. Literally every rapper agrees that it was a bad time for hip hop. To be fair, two of them poor decisions that ended their lives. Tupac was acting all out and trying to fight everyone as soon as he signed up with Death Row. People keep bringing up how he mature and professional during that interview when he was 17, but he didn't show that wisdom at all during his death row days. Yeah it's understandble he was angry, but he was fighting guys who didn't have anything to do with him. And it's funny how he was dissing New York rappers, yet his butt was not only from New York, but he was dissing family members who were still there. Biggie was stubborn and arrogant for even going to the West Coast despite all of the warnings and death threats he recieved. He could've literally picked any other area in the US or even overseas to film Hypnotize. Takeoff was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Despite their success there still remains the "what if" because we lost them so young. We can only imagine what would have become of Tupac Shakur and Christopher Wallace. Greed, jealousy and ego is a mf and as time has gone by those things only has gotten worse. And the saddest thing about that is it will never end.

What do I think about the beef, I think I don't blame Tupac for feeling how he felt but also feel like we lost 2 of the greatest to ever touch a mic. Senseless murders but I hope the two brothers are resting in peace jamming out together like they once did.

@@MaruTheGreatYeah, couldn’t deny that Puff and Suge were likely making a lot of money from the East Coast v. West Coast beef. Plus, they seemed to genuinely hate each other and would even ruin any opportunity there was to stop the fighting. I don’t think Puff was involved with Pac getting shot or killed, but he was definitely taking advantage of the situation. Same with Suge, he witnessed Pac’s murder yet kept the identity of the shooter hidden. Likely because, “Tupac get’s killed by gangster”, isn’t as sensational as, “Could Biggie Smalls have been involved in Tupac Shakur’s murder?”. He likely just took advantage of Pac’s death to further the West Coast v. East Coast beef, and make money while doing it. Honestly, wouldn’t be surprised if it came out that Suge was involved with killing Biggie. Just my thoughts though.

@@keiviroque5666 You seem to know a lot about this and I´m kind of new to the subject. So I´d like to ask you some questions. How did Suge make a profit off of the East Coast VS West Coast shit? Is it confirmed that Suge witnessed the death of 2Pac? In an interview Ice Cube said that he could buy that 2Pac´s murder wasn´t very planned and might´ve been just a drive-by or well, an unplanned murder as a result of the East Coast VS West Coast conflict. However, after saying that, he said that Biggie´s murder looked/felt more "Governmental"... what are your thoughts on that?

Thank you so much for putting together this really clear and organized doc! I was obsessed with hip-hop as a teenager in the early ‘00s. And I had only known about the Biggie-Pac beef from context clues in song lyrics. (And of course, I sure as hell wasn’t gonna ask anyone back then. 😆 That would make me look like I didn’t already know.) I’m a Southern Californian and I cannot in good conscience side with 2Pac. Biggie certainly played his part in all this, but he was more level-headed, the way I see it.

They both died in the end, but Pac was asking for trouble all the time; a colder head may have saved his life

If only Pac and Biggie got in the room just the two of them, they might have thrown a punch at each other sure, but they would have worked things out. It also did not help that Tupac at this stage of his life was not getting a good advice being with Deathrow
