Can’t believe it’s been over a year since blocksworld shutdown. Used to play this game all the time from 2014-2018 even though I kinda sucked at building things. I miss this game so much. Edit: based off the pinned comment and a little research, Blocksworld seems to be coming back! I am so hyped!

As someone who played blocksworld since 2013 and had decent “fame” this game meant so much to me. The nostalgia the soundtrack brings me now is something only matched by the Mario DS games i played around the time. Blocksworld truly was the story of a great game concept that went south due to developer conflicts.

I used to play Blocksworld all the time back in the day and I promised myself I would buy the Premium Pack, but now that the game is gone I'm gonna really miss it and and keep all those nostalgic memories with me forever.

I remember playing this game since 2014 and took a long hiatus around 2018. The MLP/Transformers sets, the worlds, the music, the TRENDS, marble games, obby, tycoons... simulators... dragons... oh my gosh so many to uncover through my memories. I remember remembering every code and where they belonged! The special coding in texts were cool, [insert name] the perspectives... Not gonna lie, there were so many blocksworld influencers that I liked, and one of them was Kawaii Cookie. I liked her for her cool stories and her series of 'Elemental Buddies,' tho it was so laggy I faded away from 'playing it' (because I would crash,) but I felt it was a good story. Big Green Eyed Cat made cool art about dragons and stuff... Pichu... Hyperdrellic... and so much more. I was in love with everything in the game, the shops kept me excited on what to buy. I loved making tycoons, marble obbies, simulators, customization, art... I remember when rating was not a thing, but views and likes, legendary titles and elites... Sometimes I wish I can just go back in time... and it is truly sad to hear that this game has discontinued or the servers had shut down... it was a good part of my childhood, I would like to go back again to where it was before.

Thanks for making this video. It has now been 2 years since Blocksworld has shut down. Even though I've been through a toxic community, I'll have fond memories of this game, always, and everything that made Blocksworld possible. I'm so gonna miss the games I've created and played, even on the PC version. (at least I still have access some of my newer models and unpublished worlds) I'll plan to make an archive/offline version for Blocksworld called BW Legacy, if I can ever contact one of the developers on what happened. RIP Blocksworld (2012-2020)😢💔🙏

Blocksworld was a game that I saw an ad for and downloaded because of it. No regrets, I absolutely loved it. That should say something.

i used to play this game 24/7 as a kid and prided myself in owning two elite games one was some how to roast a werewolf thing and the other was a path way thing with guessing question. I also had several things up for sale that got a lot of sales. i remember the whole adopting a pet thing and being obsessed with several very specific color combos and trying to adopt them all by making many games asking to adopt them and only 1 out of the majority ever saw my message. aw man i really miss this game i didn’t even know it shut down until now and now i’m upset.

Man it was a such a shame to see the game shut down. It was so unique and was such a joy to build, code and play.

I remember this game. It was so amazing but it did fall down a lot. I remember some of these creators (the red duck, giant golden Freddy being blown up, chill face eating a bunch of blocksters) from long ago. I remember people made up this “Big blockster” trend where you made larger versions of the normal characters, which is what the red duck is famous for. Error 505 was also popular and there was a huge craze after it was fixed, however it then happened again but this time forever. After this, they deleted it from the App Store and it’s now a wasteland, it’s only remains being Blocksworld; Secondary Server or the videos posted online a while back. We miss you, blocksworld HD.

It’s really upsetting that the game had to shutdown, it was a great game and really played a big role in my childhood. I wouldn’t have been with my friends if it wasn’t for bw. It was an addicting game and I met a lot of great people, enjoyed drama, made a lot of memorable stuff and more, do you by any chance know if any bw server exist? There was a bw2 server but I left long time ago. Blocksworld is a game I can never forget and since there are errors playing bw2 on iOS, I don’t think I’ll play it ever again. Ty for uploading this video!

I started playing Blocksworld around at least late Beta, then I began to build my concepts & ideas around it. Eventually though I found more interest in Roblox in fall of 2016, which is when I stopped playing Blocksworld 24/7/365.25. It's sad to see how the game & the community virtually caved in itself. But at least it's not dead, amirite? Edit: I was of the more General type, I made some laser combat games that raked in a few hundred plays & some models that sold a bit, but that was about it.

This game was the GOAT back in the day! I loved playing it so much, I would forget all my worries, struggles, and fears playing this! It was not only relaxing, but also nostalgic, fun, and enjoyable! It deserves to come back!

i’m so excited by the recent potential for Blocksworld to come back. All the kids who grew up on the game (myself included) have grown up significantly, so once it comes back we’ll have an older and likely more capable audience making experiences. I wouldn’t be surprised if the bar of quality raised significantly…

Surprisingly enough, I still have Blocksworld on my old iPad Mini and I can still play it, except I can no longer buy models or anything else from the store, go to the prize wheel, or even play other users' worlds. Blocksworld was an amazing game that was part of my childhood, and I had lots of fun building and coding with it. It was one of my favorite games that sadly went downhill and disappeared forever. RIP Blocksworld :-(

Dude this game legitimately built my childhood. The music to this game inspired me as a musician, making the stuff I do now. I knew some of the more "popular" people like Big Green Eyed Cat and a few others. I played this game nonstop on my iPad until it shutdown. Currently I'm trying to get the BW2 servers to work so I can search my old profile and see if it works lol. But yeah, big nostalgia pretty much. Thanks for this video.

OMG, I remember this game back in the day, I got it back in early 2015 when I shall an ad for this game, which I immediately got it after, I was one of those kids (I was 8 when I got the game, I am currently 14), I played the game on and off until mid 2018 when I quit the game because I got into Fortnite (which I also don’t play anymore), I can’t even believe how many hours I put into blocksworld, I once had a world (The New Version of the Season), that got over 10,000 plays for some reason (it wasn’t even my favorite game I made in blocksworld), but of course we have moved one (currently I Play Roblox).

Blocksworld holds such close place to my heart, and while I wasn’t the best user, I certainly tried my hardest to create content and I adore the community, just hearing those old usernames gave me a trip down memory lane

Blocksworld was one of my childhood games that I've ever played as a child and knowing it's gone I still feel sad that all the stuff I did on this wonderful game would all go downhill, I hope one day they will bring it back 😔

I started playing Blocksworld in early 2015 after running into it from an ad of all things. Blocksworld was a massive part of my childhood, and I played it till it's eventual demise. I have to admit, it was saddening watching it collapse over the course of it's last few years. I wasn't well known at all, and was mostly a quiet civilian ship & car builder, with a single major project simply named Warships. I'd get onto the BW secondary server in 2020, and resumed work on Warships. Where things stand now, Warships has seen immense progress, and I hope to shift back to civilian ship building- a thing I previously specialized in- pretty soon. I can't say I like the community, but I still find fun in playing this game, of which is still super nostalgic to me.

I didn’t even know it had shutdown. I would always play this game it was a huge part of me since I remember spending hours building stuff. The reason I’m on this video was that I was gonna download it again but I couldn’t find itˋ So this video pretty much informed me that one of my favorite childhood games had shutdown.

it still feel so surreal seeing this game and that its shut down. I used to always spend time playing this game and it allowed me not only to see some amazing people’s builds (mcminers, pokegirl86, kawaiicookie,etc) but also meet some amazing people. It really sucks to see this game being gone as well as all of the worlds that people made. This game will always be something i’ll treasure as well as how much its influence my life.

Blocksworld has got to be one of the most greatest (free to play) games I’ve ever played that allows me to express my creativity, as well as see the creativity of others, and be inspired by them. I’ve played Blocksworld for many years, up until its shutdown, and was distraught when it happened. I had so many great memories with the game, as well as its community within it, either it’s from me visiting random worlds of upcoming new players, or from some of the experienced players, like Kawaii Cookie, Hyperdelic, and more, as well as some not-so-great memories, which includes the controversy between those who aren’t as skilled as the mentioned latter two users, especially for KC’s case, which I remembered clearly, as because of the harassment she received, she went out on a hiatus for a long time, and was greatly upset when she told the community about the news of why she left for such a long time. Blocksworld may have its ups, and downs, but at least it left a great impact into my life for making a friend on there (in which I’m still friends with him to this day on Roblox.), getting to explore my creativity, whether it’s to share it to the world, or just for myself while goofing around with the game’s use of its physics, and for having me gain some coding experience. I love Blocksworld very dearly, and will always be kept as a core memory within my noodle noggin, and will always be cherished within my heart.

I was looking forward to playing G.I.Joe stuff in Blocksworld again after 7 years, kinda disappointed that the game was shut down, it was a part of my childhood.

As a person who played Blocksworld in the end of 2018, I’ve made so many Godzilla models in blocksworld because I was a huge fan of Godzilla and when it shut downs, I deleted all of my old models there and I wish I should’ve never done it. idk why I did it but it was a fun ride with blocksworld and sadly, all good things must come to an end. :’)

Eh, BW was becoming a cesspool and now I've sorta gotten over it dying (not fully though lol), it couldn't just last forever.

I remember playing this at around 2016, maybe 2015. I started to really get into it at around 2017-2018, and had joined the Blocksworld Military Community at around 2017. The game was really fun to play, and it's a shame they had to shut it down. I understand the people who bought Linden Labs wanted to focus on Second Life, but I wish they had at least made an offer to sell Blocksworld or something so that someone could work on it themselves. I know there's a BW2 community, because I'm in the server, but I feel like if they could officially get BW, like get the app themselves rather than modify it, it would be really able to be used again and have fun.

I never deleted the game on my ancient iPad. That means that I still have it and oh my god, it brings back memories!

This is, and will forever be a childhood memory. I discovered it through an ad, and my download of Blocksworld would make lots of memories. I never knew what happened to Blocksworld, me unbeknownst about it's shutdown in June 2020. I finally found out around 2021-2022 IIRC. Still have a copy of it on my dad's old phone. I also had a copy of it on my first phone from a backup of my dad's old phone. With that aside, would you mind if I would ask one or a few questions?

This game was my childhood, I remember having over 1000+ followers on it. Most of my creations were just character interactions but it was still fun, Some of my first online friends were made on the Blocksworld community. I’ll always miss it

This game was my life so many years ago. I was slightly well known in the game under the name "amyps" . The my little pony collab was the thing I remember the most.

man time really did fly, I remember hearing about blocksworld being shutdown after I decided to just come back to see the state of the place, I've played for quite a while (though I can't remember when though, probably around 2014 or 2015) and became less active as my ambitions grew too large for the platform. It's honestly a real shame it shutdown though, the community still impresses me with insanely detailed builds

2023 now, and I remember becoming friends with some of the known creators there. Kinda broke me to know some were pretty bad people afterwards. Time flies

Man… this game was my childhood. Today marks a new beginning as I join the secondary server. Blocksworld was my LIFE back then, I played it 24/7. Today I joined the secondary server and I made my first life size blockster out of my oc. This will probabaly be one of my top played games now. I really just wanna thank zen1th for making the secondary server possible…

Around 2019 I remember my worlds was getting errors+ the Whats hot page wasn't changing for years. At That time I learned to be a pro and my blocksworld career ended. Man Those days playing Godzilla Games

I remember I used play blocksworld all the time for a few years before I got bored and left. Earlier this summer I randomly felt nostalgic and decided to see if the game could be downloaded again only to find it was no longer on the AppStore. I left sometime before the errors so I had no idea what happened until I looked up about it. I remember being liking this series called elemental buddies, which was starting its third season before not long before I left. I wonder what happened in it between the time I left and the end of Blocksworld.

I remember it being the best app ever when I was a kid. I used to be somewhat famous and knew some of the content creators. Even had a somewhat ok “show”. It sucks to see it go. Was a such a unique app and something that could not be recreated again Beacuse of how it was.

I just randomly looked this up because I played this a super long time ago and I cannot believe there’s videos on it.

I didn't even know the servers were shut down until I checked out the app not long ago. I still remember being ranked about 50th in Game Center (name: srpmt) based on the total number of likes, having two legendary maps and multiple more elite ones for example. There was always a new good map to explore to have fun with in this game!

i used to play this game up until about 2017 or 2018. I primarily built minigames, had a small series, developed a working vehicle AI which nearly got popular on the model store, and made a lot of vehicle models/vehicle related games. It was a fun time, and it's crazy to think that linden just let this game die. and yes, the community was what made me leave.

My childhood game, I tried to redownload it earlier this year only to find it had been removed. I used to build working trains.

This game set me on a path of creativity, showing me I could build something great. I will always have this game in my heart, from the music, to the games, and to the tools: it’s a wonderful nostalgic experience. i ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS GAME. it was a hidden treasure. It made me so sad that it was shut down. I remember having beef with kawaii cookie for absolutely no reason-- I remember the dramas-- surrounding this 16 year old (at the time) who made furry BWsonas (which were amazing!) and this 11-13 year old whos BWsona had black hair and a red dress and whose name started with R. they mocked eachother so much, and it was everywhere, from the shop, to the games. But in general, the game's concept was very fun and enjoyable. People should try to bring it back.

I remember making cringy “you’re finally awake” memes, I also made some games, mostly poor assinine versions of AAA games (mostly Xbox 360 games), I did have some fame. Thanks for re-living my childhood

I miss blocksworld sooo bad 😭😭 I was like 7 when i played this and now i’m 16 i just found it in my purchased games from forever ago and it made me feel so nostalgic 😔 i remember making giant girls out of the smaller blocks and like role playing with other ppl in the community

I remember playing this game when I was younger, maybe 2014-2015? The style of the game will never leave my mind. Sad to see that it has fallen, I would’ve liked to play that game one more time.

I miss this game a lot, it was my child hood. I would consider myself one of the few popular people on the app but I wasn’t crazy famous. Some friends I had were Tenshi Okami, Kawaii Cookie, Asher, and a few others I don’t remember the name of. I would kill to have this app back because I lost so many old memories, and right before it shut down was when I was getting back into it. RIP Blocksworld 🕊️

I used to play this game and it brings back so much nostalgia, from making cringy oc stuff to making cool robots and transformers and learning how to code for the first time

jesus christ, this game had given me like some sort of an eye opener to gamedev, and now its had quite a bit of a profound effect on me to the point that i have interest in joining a gamedev course in a prestigious school in my country

Lol, I remember when I was 8 and 9 I used to spend WAYYYY too much time on this game. I had like 200 followers and I used to create this series called “Avatar Wars” where I’d basically put popular Blocksworld users on a map and basically create a fan fiction. I also used to make a series called “Custom Elimination” where I’d just make a bunch of pop culture characters be in some competition show (If you were in the Goanimate/Vyond community during 2015-2017 you would understand) Looking back I can’t believe how much time I spent on it. Thank you for making this game Linden Labs. I'm sad to see it go.

Avatar Wars… that’s rings a bell but I don’t know why

My experience was, I was playing normally, then there was the player divide and follower system, made me feel horrible because of popularity, then the final straw was Linden’s greed getting the better of them with the pay-2-play and paid premium blocks, as well as the message “This world has too little blocks, *nobody wants to see that!* “ which I felt would be soul-crushing for the “Kids” community. Then, the servers went down. I noticed that I could download it on the app store via iCloud. I downloaded it, of course the Game Center wouldn’t work. I then got a notification afterwards: “Long time, no see!” I opened the app, the servers were still dead. At least they tried to revive the game.

Blocksworld was simply THE GREATEST game in my childhood. Almost everything about it was perfect. I honestly teared up when i found out it shut down. While I do have cringe memories from it, it still holds a very special place in my heart. While I have been in the secondary server, it just doesn’t hold the same feeling since it’s not as popular. I think my username was called 2fst4u or something along those lines. If Blocksworld ever came back, I would be the happiest person in the world. But as they say, don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.

Hello! I am a long time veteran of Blocksworld by the name of ItzAdam. (1 thousand followers at the time of shutdown) I found out about the shutdown a month or two after it happened; I was devastated. It was my childhood game.

I played this game when I was very young and forgot about it. I just now found it again to realize it was shut down. I wish I could play it again just to remember what it was like.

I played blocksworld back then. After playing the game for a while, it gave me the Creativity on not only for building but even coding aswell. I made world's such as Zomblock Attack and Moon Tycoon which will no longer update. It inspired me to try scratch coding and did well. However when time flew by, I started to lose motivation of playing the game until the portal update came. That update powered my motives for weeks or even a few months however, I soon noticed that BW is no longer updating. Not only that but I may have also noticed it is no longer in the App Store. Despite that Blocksworld is a lost cause due to the lack of updates and the development of toxicity, it has driven my motivation for coding and creativity for other games such as Minecraft. Edit: The game has a lot of potential if more ideas are added but that is no longer possible due to unknown causes. Now I have to find another app that is similar to blocksworld that is Accessible to my iPad (more of my aim) and/or computer? I was wondering if anyone can share any games like that?

I used to play this like all the hours of the day, still remember the soundtracks..and I didn’t play it much anymore and looking back at My old self now. I regret not playing it as much and If I can Time travel and go back to that time. I definitely Would play it all day!! I still remember the powerpuff girls one! Everything :’)…Man I miss 2017-2018 everything was so innocent and Amazing back then :’(

THIS GUME IS OVERRATED

i was looking for a way to finally play this game again only to find out it's shut down. man. unironically this video was so nostalgic to me as I played it all the time back in the day, but also somber knowing that it's gone now.

OH MY GOSH IVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS GAME FOR YEARS!!! i thought it was just a fever dream because i never found ANYTHING about it and i couldn’t remember the name. this gives me so much nostalgia i used to play on my old ipad and i would create girl character builds and i had friends on there too 😭😭

I was like 7 playing this thing constantly. I will miss it.
