So the way this happened(just a guess idk for sure) is that in the actual wii bowling, you can tilt your wiimote to slightly curve the ball because you can throw with spin or whatever You slightly modified the amount of control you have over the ball

In the original Wii Sports, the way you tilted the Wii Remote had no bearing on the curve of the ball, because Wii Motion Plus didn't exist yet. The curve of the ball was determined by the position of the pins. Assuming the player is using the right hand setting, if there are pins on the left, the ball will always curve left. If there are pins on the right, the ball will always curve right. If there are pins on both sides, the ball will always curve left.

Bowling ball: “Reject void, return to pin” Pins: *Wait that’s illegal*

“Nice throw” The ball: *literally stops in the middle of the lane, and starts changing directions with no way of gaining momentum*

The 'miss-all-pins-but-strike' thing is part of the actual game. The ball hit the red button and was only able to on the last shot.

You an see that it is legit because in the replays, they show the outcome without the sentient ball because of some malfunctions in the programming System not picking up that the Ball just moved against their physic rules, but the earthquake one got shown.
