Close Cashier report is the correct way. Any of the other reports are used by GSM and ASM only except for the end of day which is done after close cashier first. If you are doing an end of month. You have to end the open cashier. Then end the day. Then end the month. What he showed you just made your store out of balance. Because you still have an open register and an open day thats not being reported in the month end.

Why do you have to stop all pumps? To close shift/daily. What if someone is filling up, using their card?

I have a question, I work at a gas station myself and I work night shift to morning shift I closed my night shift good but always towards the morning shift when I closed there's always something wrong with my receipts with the shift reports I'm thinking should I count the money before or after I close the shift for morning? Because every time my boss reads the receipts there's always an issue with the numbers not matching sometimes they match in the next day they don't I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong or is there something else going on?

@coskuntaluy what I noticed is that when you come into work ALWAYS COUNT THE CIGS AND THE CARTONS, I hate to say this but you can't trust your coworkers paperwork, I've noticed that for a few months when I was doing it, count everything and give them your finished count , if its good all the numbers should match, the paperwork don't lie Also make sure your giving EXACT change, I've noticed I would give customers extra change sometimes without noticing and that add up at the end of my shift and I would be short money. Any more questions don't be afraid to ask.

My register approval alarm is going off while no one is asking for gas at the pump. How do you fix this?

Yes STOP FUEL key towards the top near fuel. If you don’t have it then maybe management doesn’t display it on purpose.

Upgrade to the gilbarcos they are top notch
