I love the Wescott lift on my ‘21 TRD Pro. The truck rides like stock, maybe even better because there is a bit less nose dive on braking. It looks amazing; as it should have done from the factory.

I have been loving my WestCott lift on my 2022 Tundra…..You guys did such a good Job with the rims n tires too. Comfortable ride, not too stiff IMHO. Off road is safe….I have absolutely no complaints ! Do I need to come to you guys for any updated diagnostics or after a period of time? This shyt is GENIUS!

@Jeff - would you say your kit works better with the Fox or Bilstein shocks as compared to the more basic Hitachi’s? I’ve really enjoyed the overall ride quality on my ‘22 Tundra Platinum but have noticed the rebound isn’t controlled very well when hitting a speed bumps or pot holes. It feel like a harsh “top out”, a bit bouncy. And yes… alignment is per your suggested spec.

Just purchased a 2023 Tundra Limited Crewmax 5.5 Hybrid. I’ve been watching lots of videos trying to find the perfect lift solution to keep my smooth ride quality as my daily driver and add some height to clear 35’s. I rarely will be off roading but I do enjoy camping and skiing… I was seriously considering reaching out to Toyota for the new OEM lift they’re offering (outrageously overpriced). Do you think this would be just as good of a solution for what I need? Thank you all for the amazing content!

Hey Jeff, can you take measurements on what the height would be with this from the roofline and the TRD PRO roof rack?

So this maximizes travel both up (stops at bump stop) and down (extension stopped by shock internals prior to anything external contacting) on the TRD Pro Fox suspension. Small increase in lift and up travel, good increase in down travel, more overall stroke. Is that accurate?

Do you have an install video for this lift kit? I have a 2023 trd off road Tacoma.

I’ve installed a winch and winch mount on my 19’ Runner. I believe the front end has a little more sag and nose dive more during aggressive stopping. Would you still recommend the space lift for the front? Or do front and back? Not trying to make the whole vehicle taller.

We make them for the sub model Tacomas, 4Runners, Tundras and Sequoias. I original did them for TRD Pro models in 2015 when I worked for Toyota. Does it stiffen the ride? Yes but in a good way. Toyota sets up all there trucks soft and squishy. Perfect example! Coming to a quick stop at the light and feels like it’s going to stand on the front bumper. Swerve for a pot hole in the road and the side to side body roll is terrible. So our preload collar helps the ride in many ways. Some people say they can’t tell it’s even the vehicle and others say they think it drives better. So both are answers I’m good with. We sell about 3000 kits a month and we do get a couple people that did not do something right or set up the alignment correct and that really effects the ride.

I have a 2018 TRD pro Tacoma I’m looking for a lift but also keeping my factory fox shocks that came with it is there any sight that I can take a look at that SHIPS TO GUAM ? I’m having trouble finding anywhere that ships to Guam are you able to ship here ?

What if you don't have a pro with fox shocks, I have a off road premium, does the kit still function the same

I see these videos, where bigger tires are put on. With a larger tires do you suggest re-gear and bigger brakes? I have seen this done on other 4x4's so far not on the 4runner. Have a great day.

I feel that the brakes do just fine. If someone has money burning a hole in their pocket have at it. Anything bigger then 33’s or a 285 for sure would doo 4.88’s or a supercharger. They do t have a lot of power with the stock tires.

May you do a video for the new bilstein 6112 47-309975 shocks using your collar? This one has 11 circlips instead of the 6.

No because it does not put it at a severe angle that is needs one.

New 2024 tundra 1794 edition. I need a a lift/level that won’t void my warranty. Any suggestions?

Are used Wescott design lift on my 2017 Toyota Tacoma pro model cement colored in Hawaii as well as Rodin 35s Arb Bumpers etc. off the hook vehicle put 30,000 miles on it in Hawaii and sold it for $10,000 more than what I paid for it in South Carolina shipping it to Hawaii I use sparks dealership in South Carolina. Mike was my salesman as well as Jeff from this site here they build bad ass trucks and now I’m going to build a 2024 pro also hybrid with the assistance of Mike and Jeff

Down the weight of the car/truck push he strut down already? So I don’t understand how putting a spacer on pushes it down further than what the weight of the truck already does. Wouldn’t it just lift it 2” like it’s designed to? Genuinely asking.

Is your guys’ TRD pro lift kit compatible with a 2019 SR?

So on a 2022 TRD ORP this exact setup will not adversely affect front driveshaft CV joint angle? I’ve seen other installs different brands and they add diff drop spacers and I do not want to do that.

How does this compare to the EIBACH TRD PRO Coil lift?

Are the bilstein 6112 coil over kits compatible with kdss and would you say it’s a good value for a front and rear set for 1350$ or is there a better way to spend 1300-1400$ to Get just a little lift and better handling on a 22 orp ?

On the 4Runner, does the changed axle angle shorten the life of the joints if you're doing a 2" lift?

We designed it to minimize the angle change. We are not extending the struts longer then factory design so we don’t compromise the life of the axles. We have never had axle failure and have been doing our kits since 2015 and some of the trucks have over 150k miles on them.

How does this work on 3rd gen Tacoma sr5 with oem shocks

What is the off-road performance like with these lifts? I do a lot of off-road stuff for hunting and camping. Would love to know as it’s much more cost effective than overhauling with a whole new suspension set up and safer than spacers.

Look in our You Tube shorts and there is a video of one of our customers getting after it in his green TRD PRO 4Runner. He is pretty hard on it regularly and is still going strong.

So I totally get that your lift design is just like a fox coil over where you preload the coil and it gives the vehicle lift..BUT those coil overs are made for that and have enough shaft in the shock body so you don’t run out of down travel. Are 5100’s or 6112’s made to preload the coil that much and lift that shaft out of the shock body even more than it already is to where the down travel isn’t affected?

The only ones that don’t work as well as would like is the new Tundra. They shorten the shaft 2” and it does effect the rebound. All the other kits we make we did not over do them and the shock shafts are great and those kits have always worked amazing. I started doing our kits on the Bilsteins in 2015 when I worked for Toyota and it was a great way to add a little more lift.

Jeff, been watching all your videos to understand and educate myself on your lifts. With your lift and a small spacer at the top as you shown if you add slightly bigger spacer for a little more lift that compromises the shock at full compression and bottoming out will eventually break. So with your lift, it is engineered and measured to hit the bump stocks when bottoming out to avoid damaging the shocks. Now say, if you were to add more load to the spring with the collar and bigger space at top, can you change the bump stock to a larger one so it wouldnt bottom out at the shock? Wouldnt that fix all the concerns of damaging the shock & end up with a higher lift? My question is, by changing the bump stock wouldn’t that fix the concern of wearing the shock bottoming out?

What we are trying to do is maximize the upward travel for compression or when articulating the vehicle so by pushing the whole strut downward and doing a extended bump stop you would be limiting that. The other major problem is that the axle angles get increased and start to cause excessive wear.on the CV’s and the bearing for added load. Now for the lower preload collar you could increase the preload on the collar to get more lift out of the front but then when the vehicle sitting on the ground and you lift the front of the vehicle you are now taking away from the rebound of the strut. This will cause the strut to top out to soon. We like to see between 2”-2.5” of rebound. The new Tundras have a 2” shorter strut then the last Gen and with being if the alignment is not spot on this causes the truck to not have enough rebound and causes a harsh ride from the rebound. We are at the limit with that strut. We have talked about taking some more preload out of it to bring the front down a little more to allow more rebound for a little smoother ride. But then people complain that they don’t have enough lift and they are getting rubbing. So I have come to realize you can’t make everyone happy

So a longer spring& shock assembly is the better way.Seems just easier & cheaper to make new collars= more profit.

The collars are really not that profitable with all the machine time and a half of million dollars machines to cut them all. I should have just lasered out some spacers and spot welded them together and put them on top and made a shit ton of money! Oh wait we do things the right way at our shop and do things that are not going to fail or to ever cause failure. $425 billet machined lift kit that works great or a set of $1200-1800 set of coil overs🤷‍♂️. I guess it comes down to what the customer is willing to spend. Is a $1800 set of coil overs going to work better? For sure it better for the money. Our kit is a cheap way of doing it if someone does not want to spend the money👍

Where can I take my truck so you guys do my lift.

It will decrease the travel of your shocks, and will stiffen up the ride. Most important pros of the trd pro fox shock is that it's soft at initial bump, gets hardened after that. Which is great for on road and offroad. You will ruin the performance of your truck.

I checked the product but not sure which to buy. We talked before but i forgot. I have a 2016 4runner TRD Pro should i only buy the front lift because i don't see a rear lift for the Pro

Anything you do to your vehicle can void your factory warranty. Even changing your wheels. If anything you do is in direct relationship to something that fails and the manufacture can prove that it was the cause of the failure it will void the warranty on that part and that part only. We have yet to have any of our parts fail or cause failure.
