The thing I love about Karl is that half the time he’s got an interesting thought on something but he just not capable of explaining it without sounding stupid 😂

Also Ricky makes a mess out of explaining the door riddle. If that's the way he's been giving the riddle, then I am not surprised nobody got it. Firstly, his version is trivial to solve since in his version any question regarding any obviously apparent fact will reveal who the liar is, and since he states the liar always guards the bad door that is enough to figure out which door is which. Secondly, his solution is not valid if the distribution is random (which it should be in the real version of this problem).

The solution is valid but only if he had given the riddle correctly (i.e. the liar could be guarding either door).

Dude gotta give you big credit, most reaction channels take an entire week just to cover one episode.

That Steve anecdote gives so much insight in his personality.. and I'm sure he way saying to Karl how great it was just to wind up Karl because he knew he was lying.

I know its been suggested already but "The Moaning if Life" is amazing. Each episode they give Carl something to discuss and investigate but the topics are big ones like happiness, holidays, kids etc

on the xfm shows, he often brings up a topic trying to make himself look smart, then just stops talking half way through realising he has no clue what he is on about, its so cringey

The interesting thing here is Karl is completely correct, if it was an exact replica, down to the spin and momentum of every particle in Karl’s body (which is theoretically impossible in our universe) it would be impossible to know which Karl was the original and so Karl genuinely wouldn’t know which one he was

Ricky made the heaven/hell door riddle too easy.

With the hell/heaven question, I would just ask one of them what color the door is and if he says it a blue door when I can clearly see it's a white door, then boom. That's hell. If he says that its a white door when the door is white, then that's heaven. Or if I'm not allowed too see the door then just ask about something on their body that you can clearly see and wait too see if it lies or tells the truth about it.

The whole clone thing at the start is one of the big plot points in the last Rick and Morty episode.

Anyone else not get Ricky's logic for the door scenario? Or am I being thick lol. If you ask the question "what door is the other one guarding?" you can still get the same answer from both. Demon will say the Angel is guarding Hell, the Angel will say the Demon is guarding Hell.

Ricky told the problem wrong, because if the guard of hell always lies then you could simply ask 'what is my name?' and only the heaven guard will tell your real name. It should be unknown which guard is guarding which door, but Ricky got it totally wrong

This "two doors" bit has always been one of the most frustratingly entertaining things I have ever cried laughing at.

I did a similar thing to you but I walked to the deepest end, outside of the pool and jumped in. So there was no slope for me to get back up. And like you I sunk, kicked, gasped, sunk, kicked, gasped several times until the lifeguard jumped in and took me to the edge. I was about 8. Thanked him for saving my life and that encouraged me to become a really good swimmer. Would have become a lifeguard myself but the waiting list for applications was over 2 years.

You could always ask the 2 guards if heaven is real. If 1 lies and the other tells the truth the heaven guard would say yes and the he’ll guard would say no. The fact that the doors are there prove the existence of both.

I’m from uk and I grew up watching Karl and it’s really fun to revisit old videos and watch you react for the fist time. It’s really funny to watch and think you are brilliant keep them up. Plus if you run out of idiot abroad he did a show very similar called a moaning of life.

The first explanation does work. It works better than the one you suggested because you don't have to swap the doors over

An answer to the conundrum at the beginning would be asking the question “ am I ( insert your own name ) “ assuming the guards already know you. The one guarding heaven would say yes. The one guarding hell would say no.

That is a fantastic question to ask. (Spoilers) It was the question in the movie The Prestige. Huge Jackman made the same point at the end of the movie. He didn't know if he was going to be the one to drown or the one that showed up after the the trick.

A show you should look into is Mrs. Browns Boys it is a show filmed on BCC and it one of the funniest Scottish shows ever created only beware you could break a rib with all the times you will laugh, Enjoy.

Listen to the XFM radio show podcasts where it all began and where Ricky and Steve met Karl. Most of this is from the XFM podcasts and these 3 have a large back catalogue like Derek, Moaning of Life, After life, Ghost Town, The invention of Lying, which all have lines and stuff from Karl. Sick of It, is Karl. Ricky admits Karl is a comedy genius who does not know it and has a head like a fucking orange. Peace and love to you all x

Same thing happened to me in the pool. I was about 10-11 and I went into the shallow end and then walked towards the deep end and slipped down the ramp, head under, and couldn't get air, I was wailing all over, and the life guard jumped in after me luckily.
