I was an Assistant Chef Garde Manger on the opening staff in I think 1988 or 89 under Chef Andre Rene and GM Joseph Baum. My Executive Sous was Gary Coyle who later went on to be Exec at Tavern on The Green. A lot of CIA externs came out of there and did great things. I got to meet Julia Child and Wolfgang Puck in his prime Spago days.
