Jesus' reply ("are you not in error because you do not know the scriptures or the power of God") seems to imply that if they knew the scriptures, they would have known the answer to the question they were asking him. But if that's the case, then there must be some place in the Hebrew scriptures where it says that when the dead rise, they will not marry or be given in marriage. Where is that verse?

Will there be a physical resurrection or spiritual? Whatever that means

Depends on which book of the bible you read

Physical death vs spiritual death.

& it was like that, take the woman at Jacob’s well. Jesus said she had 5 husbands and was living with a man. So 40 years later it would have been worse, take the Corinthians for example.

Your wife just insulted the LORD with that comment...
