I hope a wave of original games comes out of this, at the very least anime INSPIRED rather than straight copies. It's cool and all to have your favorite abilties from an anime but it's a whole other thing to have a brand new unique ability, and brand new characters to get immersed in. Edit: Now that I think about it, this wave can be an act of boycotting against these companies. The anime companies caught the bait of getting into roblox, and if we don't allow their games to do good, and put more time into original roblox games, the anime companies eventually will make the cost of the IP negotiable. Then one day, people can somewhat freely obtain the IP and make good anime games without any compromises.

If they buy the IP, I believe that they will be good people and protect the other one piece and other anime games. They aren’t greedy, at least I hope so.

Not really, they just didn't throw in enough resources yet. Look at One Piece Bounty Rush, a fully licensed game that's doing relatively well with good graphics and gameplay.

Realization has occurred As Swift said Blox Fruits is really the only game with the funds to even try and purchase the IP for One Piece. Now I think that after Rell Seas comes out, that they might make enough to buy the IP. However, if Blox Fruits doesn't buy the IP, then I feel we really don't have to worry too much about Rell Seas getting taken down, as long as they make sure enough of the content is original, just so then they don't get DMCA'd.

Gamefam started all of this in the past and starting this again today AA or any DMCA copyright on any games should not be done by gamefam and i still dont understand how gamefam isnt deleted from roblox

It's honestly very frustrating this whole IP issue. I can't understand why they are making it so hard to just give access to names of certain abilities and stuff. My cursory understanding of IPs leads me to somewhat get it, but why roblox of all things? Besides, the way I see it rell seas could have genuinely been one of the better one piece games period. There is literally not any single other one piece game out there that I've looked forward to playing than this. No other one piece game is even "trying" to capture the sense of adventure of the original series like this one, which makes me really sad considering the potential having that authenticity could bring.

Glad rell seas is trying to go original because seriously, 10 million and 80% of their entire games revenue? Hell even blox fruits would lose a lot. Yes blox fruits and rell seas could cut it down to 30% but like swift said, if they only get the IP for 2 years or so, then it’s a huge risk for games like blox fruit. ( rell seas might get away if they release with IP, but bloxfruit wouldn’t survive sense a good portion doesn’t even know about one piece )

Yeah but they have already invested in a fat stack of money, or maybe a couple, might be millions at this point. So making like 300k-500k per year ain't gonna pay off, and as it is mentioned in the vid you have to pay the sum again in just 2 years. They'd simply bankrupt on that.
