Stuff was so easy to find and almost on the surface they logged around this cellar hole . I walked around with my Fisher F19 metal detector and dug one thing after another. This old home site goes back to the 1700s and 1800s and with all that history you know there are things in the ground. Lots of buttons easy to find and pick right out and not deep at all. Usually after they log in the woods the ground is a mess but we got lucky today. If you want to find old thing you have to go to where people lived a long time ago and it sure did help they scraped the top soil here and loosening up all the good relics and finds. This colonial cellar has been good in the past and still to this day we are finding lots of relics.

I found 3 ox knobs at a location in East Tennessee. The old house was built in or around 1850-60's. I also found numerous mule shoes. A forged fire poker unlike any I have ever seen in antique stores. One shop owner told me he thought the fire poker was made by German immigrants. Due to the type of twists and hammered in designs on the handle and shaft. My biggest day detecting so far. Only found 6 Indian head pennies and a barber quarter. I am going back because I marked 11 targets I didn't dig. Keep up the great work Charlie! I have learned a lot from watching you and the SD crew! God bless you all!

Looks like the loggers did you a favor! Lol
Loggers.... 😒 not a fan. They have destroyed many of my sites here in Ohio. On that note, well done to you on the cool relics. Thanks for sharing Charlie.
Pretty awesome!
Really educational day for me and others, I think. As you said, good for the moment. But it is good and the results prove it.
Great job Charlie !!
Shifted ground can be a very good thing 👌
Might be worth while to get to know the loging companies in your area to found out other sites to detect possibly before they go in and then after.
Nice buttons!
Great finds
Great video. Thanks.
Button City 🎉
Logging must be done differently in NH. Where I live it would be clearcut and sprayed with herbicides. It takes years before things grow back. Is this a private woodlot type of forest?
So as far as the logging, it's kind of blessing and curse.
I'm in East Tennessee and found an 1853 half dime It blew my mind I didn't think that was even possible for my area what part of Tennessee are you in
Charley, why do most of the channels mostly show the shank side of the buttons as most of US would sure like to see the face side. Shanks just look alike from the "watcher" side? Can you show us BOTH sides? Thanks
I don't think we have anything that old here in north Georgia
Is there a way to get the logging schedule for the acres you hunt on and you will be able to revisit those old sites
Just a random question...are rivers considered public property, assuming access to them are as well? So if they are but drought has reduced the actual flowing water, is the now dry edges of the river considered the river bed still?
That person had to tie their clothes on thanks Charlie
can't u find another sectlon of that expansive looking forest or better still another cellar 2 poke your noise in? this is equivalent to watching paint dry then crumble.............
