The REGA NAIA, my new reference?

Ойын-сауық

Hi. I’m glad you’re here.
A little fun today about a new turntable, that, even six months after my review was published, I’m still daydreaming about. I could have said Jonesing or even obsessing-yes my memory of the sound is that vivid and remains clear today. The Rega Naia is Rega’s latest and greatest turntable, retailing for 12,000 pounds including cartridge.

It’s a beautiful table. Rega makes a great set it, forget it table.

Wow Anthony, very intriguing take on the Rega, I think for someone wanting set and forget superb vinyl , with little knowledge this Rega is perfect, but having owned a top rega myself, once you get into the hobby and build up some knowledge, the simplicity starts to grate, so I think your decision makes sense as an advanced vinylphile , the looks are polarising and although there is advanced material science here , the looks to me give the appearance of fragility imho.

Exactly my experience, Andrew, especially when I owned a 10. But man, the NAIA is sweeeeeet!

Let us know how you like it. You have a good cart and ‘table (heard both several times), but I’d say you will really enjoy the NAIA.

Great video, as always. I love your Pure Fidelity turntable, but not the top Regas. Besides being unable to change VTA, as another commenter noted, their skeletonized frames look weird and frail to me.

Thank you, Vladimir, for the kind words. My wife agrees with you, but oh, how I loved it. I just love my setup more, plus all the Rega-isms! lol

Depends on what your definition of perfection is, but in these pricey days of high end audio, £12,000 incl. a knockout cart that plays at this exalted level is about right, IMO. Crazy prices, but hey, in high end audio these days, you gotta pay to play.

@@AudiophiliaChannel only if you like to waste money. There are great sounding tables for half that sum. Conversely, it’s not twice as good as a table costing six grand. It’s more preference and bragging rights. Many egos have been crushed by a double blind listening test that proves as much.

Audio is not fun anymore.. Its all superceeded by greedy Accountants determined to squeeze as much as they can from the customer...

Sure it is. Ignore all the greed nonsense. For sure, it’s rampant, but music played through great equipment is so bloody good. Keep the faith, mate 👍

@@AudiophiliaChannel Greed is not nonsence .. It is a fact! I know a good retailer who was refused a Rega Account because he was deemed to be too small .. That says it all. The Accountants make the rules.

Any turntable that makes it virtually impossible to change VTA is a fatally flawed design. Period.

@@AudiophiliaChannel You have to listen to it with their cartridge...because you cannot dial in any other cartridge. Maybe you should get a Beogram 4002 if you want a turntable you can only use one cartridge in...

Yeah. They want the least amount of moving parts. VTA creates more moving parts. This is one of the best TTs at any price range. The Aphelion 2 is one of the best carts out there too. No one would say the Beogram is even close to as good as this… not really a comparison
