I have played this many times with Rugby Citadel Band, Chelmsford Citadel Band, Bromley Temple Band, Romford Centenary Halls Band, Grantham Citadel Band, Ipswich Citadel Band, Peterborough Citadel Band, Ilford Citadel Band and Exeter Temple Band and it never fails to thrill me. Godbless the Salvation Army and its music.

As a Salvation Army bandsman, it's fascinating to me to hear this familiar march played by a military band. And quite superbly, I might add. Well done. Army music always blesses.

Brings back vivid memories of marching, in the mid-70s, to the Cenotaph in Whitehall, carrying the Union Flag, alongside the Regent Hall ("Rink") band's flag on one of the few times (if not the only one) that a serving soldier (military and Salvation Army) marched (in khaki) with the Rink to the SA's own Remembrance parade. A rare honour and privilege to literally march Under Two Flags (to quote the title of another great SA march they played) as well as this special one (for me), which was named for the SA's ministry to the military of the time.

Was your dad at Hinckley at any time? When I joined the junior band at Hinckley Temple SA in the 1960s a Trevor Worthington was the YP Bandmaster. He left to go to Hull and his brother Baz took over from him.
