@@kedokinnie I got one for you. During the Roman Civil War between Caesar and Pompeus Magnus, specifically, in the Spanish campaign, had a weird moment of encounter between both sides when picking water from the nearby river, during the talks, people from both sides began remembering their homes, asking for friends, sharing what few commodities they had, it was a very brief interlude. The Pompeian side realized this and nearly attacked the Caesarians, with some disguising themselves to not get killed.

To continue it, there's that an example of rest between enemies during a conflict. For a more modern example? Americans who decided to stay in Vietnam and got married and spent their lives never coming back to the US, you could still get some stories of them surviving after the retreat of Saigon and fending off until finding their place in life over there.

At least the clone has a comfort zone of not to readapt the post war life. Unlike in RDR, when the order gradually solidified in the west, the whole picture of endings to these cowboys are just sad, in general….ngl it gives me a vibe very close to classic Russian literature - the feeling of grumpy and miseries, but, the plot of RDR it’s like an American version of it.

There’s already other stories closer to it in legends. One is about a Clone trooper who was the lone survivor of his squad and stranded after their gunship crash landed. The republic abondon him and he was left on the planet, and he spent the next 23 years on the jungle planet surviving. Until during a rebel mission against the empire, where Luke and another rebel commander crashed too on the planet and had to cross part of a jungle evading imperials, where they by chance encountered the clone in his armor, who thought they were separatist agents, but then was convinced by Luke to join them claiming tobe a heir to the jedi the clone used to follow, showing him his lightsaber and telling him they were fighting enemies of the republic. When they were discovered by a squad of imperials the clone killed them all by himself, which got him a place in the alliance special forces, leading troops in missions, until his encounter with a possessed jedi „witch“ who was awakened from her 4000 years long stasis by vader, escaping him with some mutated storm troopers…

2:12 He said 'finest legions' I am pretty sure, as in plural. He was probably referring to the 501st, because a lot Blizzard Force had been deployed on the planet. Although by this point even the 501st had a lot of non-clones due to the destruction of the Death Star. However, the 501st narrator did note in some cut dialogue that he had underestimated non-clone stormtroopers and that they proved to be extremely effective as well, thus I suppose the 501st was still an extremely powerful unit

Very interesting Story. I love when people learn to get over their indoctrination. I once knew an old man that was in the Waffen SS. He joined as an 18 year old Boy in 1940 and fought right until the end, killing many people and taking part in many horrible crimes probably. After the war he was in a british prison camp and a year later they kicked him out, and he was alone on the street without money, in a different part of germany were he had no friends and no family. So he lived a long time from foraging and fishing and begging, sometimes helping out on Farmwork for very little money. In these times he became friends with different stray cats, and started feeding them and taking care for them. In the village he was in, he was soon known as "the Cat man" and people donated to him clothes and money and food for him and the cats. Then someone gave him money for a ticket and he went home, taking his 5 cats with him. In the years after that he became a peaceful friendly man and build a cat shelter for stray cats on the property of his dead father, wich he inherited. In the 1980s he housed more than a hundred cats there, paying the vets bill, feeding them and saving many of their lives. In 2007 when i met him, he was already very old but still took care of cats, and also two dogs wich he found somewere. Moral of story is that political indoctrination and militaric drill often overshadow the true personality of a man, and as soon as they come to a different environment without all the propaganda, they might start thinking and reflecting and become themselfes again. Just like that Scout trooper in the video. Even if people did evil things and fought for the wrong side, everyone deserves a second chance in life !

While I do like the moral of this story, if that old man was indeed in the SS from 1940 to 1945, then he got off way too easy. A Wehrmacht soldier could possibly have gone through the war without directly participating in war crimes (albeit rather unlikely if he ever fought in the eastern front), or an SS recruit from the last year of the war might have served an entirely defensive role, that particular soldier definitely killed innocent civilians. That soldier almost certainly participated in the holocaust in a direct way, whether that be rounding up of Jews in occupied territories, or committing on-site executions of Jews or suspected partisans/communists. I'm sure spending a good chunk of his life homeless and having fought an ultimately pointless war that only brought destruction and misery to his homeland was not an easy pill to swallow, but that is far better than whatever his victims got.

They would have made good penpals with that TIE pilot stranded on Yavin IV. Figured the scout trooper was a Jango Fett clone, but I must say, was he a part of the 501st Legion of Battlefront II 2005 fame? Would explain a whole lotta things. Not sure about the Rebel, but the clone will end up lucky provided he stays. Endor will stay unscathed from war for decades to come, and not even the Yuuzhan Vong War scarred it for good reason.

There was a clan of Ewoks that took to speeder racing and off world bounty hunting exotic game and just merc with the smugglers and new republic. Love the story about the T/E pilot on Yavin. He later flew with the Solo twins against the Vong.

Clones we're that unusual in the EU, the Empire couldnt keep up with recruitment numbers so started recruiting birth born into the ranks which was seen as diluting the quality of the Storm Troopers, ontop of that as per Battlefront 2, the Kaminion's tried to rebel with a batch of specially made clones so after that thr Empire moved to multipule templates as well as Jango's to prevent 1 type being tampted with or altered, the lead to most every unit in the Empire being a mix of regular humans as well as different clone types with a few execeptions, most famously the 501's 'Vaders Fist' which stayed 100" Fett clones due to Vaders service with them in the clone wars and was thus convinced of their superior abilties. Then Disney got hold of all that intresting lore and replaced it with, er clones got retired after the Clone Wars and replaced with a birth born recruited army cause the clones showed too much independence (the troops manufactured for pupose, genetically designed for loyalty with a stupid chip in their head to ensure it curtsy of Dave were too independent.) Oh and we blew up all the cities of Kaminio cause we heard you guys really liked that bit from Battlefront 2 and had to be sure to erase it.
