My lupus has gotten so bad I barely am awake anymore. My liver enzymes are high and I have infection. Im only 25. Im scared but it’s somehow soothing to know I’m not alone. I send all love and good thoughts to both you and your momma.

@@nataliagarcia7018 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia first at 19. I went to dr bc I was covered in bruises. My mom has lupus too so she knew the signs. Sleeping a lot, low fevers at night and pain everywhere. I thought I was having a heart attack twice but after going to a cardiologist they discovered I had inflammation on the cartilage of my chest and ribs. The most definitive thing was after blood labs I tested positive for high ANA, indicating an immune issue. It is hard to be diagnosed but my mom never gave up and is my hero for her help. Thank you everyone for the kind words they cheered me up!

Yes. I remember my son when he was only a baby, needed surgery. Handing over a baby on your shoulder to a surgeon, is painful. My baby put his arm up to try and reach out for my husband when we passed him over. I cried. Then we waited for hours. It was so hard. He was just a little baby. He’s turning 16 this weekend and is a happy healthy kid.

My husband was a mess when I had my last surgery for ovarian cancer. I had two before I met him. His sister and my mom said he drove them crazy!

Pushing our parents to get checked out is so important! You’re an awesome son, and I hope you mom is doing alright and recovering well. We love you and her so much! (Also, saw your pic at Ulta the other day and it cheered me up on a crummy day!)

So true. My mother died at 56 in a household accident. She had extreme rheumatoid arthritis and after about a year of Prednisone that made her hair fall out and gave her extreme depression she stopped taking the medication and refused to see another doctor. I tried to push but God she was stubborn and LOUD. Also still even all hunched taller than me. My mother was originally 6'1. I'm 5'3. She was 5'9 at the time of her death. Her autopsy discovered that she had stage 4 liver cancer and had she not had her accident she would have absolutely died soon, maybe even if she saw a doctor. Strangely, she was saved from dying of cancer, something she feared horribly bc she watched her own father dying from esophageal cancer for 10 years (11 to 21). Still I shouldn't have allowed her to pull thr parent card or put me off. I lived with her and bathed her and cared for her in every way I could but she needed a DOCTOR and I should have forced her. I still carry guilt over it.

I know I’m just a stranger on the internet, but I want you to know that you did amazing, wonderful things for your mom- not everyone is willing to step up and be their parent’s caretaker. That tells me you are a compassionate, loving person who puts others before yourself! What a beautiful trait to have, and how lucky your mom was to have you 🩵 extend some of that compassion to yourself when you can- you deserve it (or so my therapist has told me 😋; I’m still working on it myself). I hope that you are doing well! 🩵

You have nothing to feel guilty about. Your mother was an adult with the right to choose what she wanted done to her body. If she had gone to the doctor most likely they would have tried to make her do surgery, chemo, radiation, etc and she would have suffered horribly. She chose the way she wanted to live and die.

Im so glad shes okay! I found my mom in the hospital a few months ago in a coma. The next few weeks were filled with the hardest decisions. I was technically still a minor, so my Grandmother had to drive 14 hours worth of make the decisions. She ended up passing away.

Praying is doing nothing with extra steps. 3 independent scientific studies have proven that prayer has no impact on medical outcomes. It just makes you feel better for saying it. Medical care and science will determine if she lives or dies, not some imaginary sky fairy.

What a blessing you were there to help her and get her to the hospital! But how unfortunate the doctor “miscalculated”. My mom recently had surgery and was od on fentanyl but thank goodness she is alive and well. I hope all is well with your mom ❤

At least he was honest enough to admit he was wrong, my moms eye doctor screwed up her right eye bc he was too full of himself to admit he did a crappy job the first time and kept saying she/her body/something else was the problem

I have the same story my sister was rushed to the hospital on thanksgiving in 2023 she was supposed to be out into surgery but she ended up not having to and to take the long run and not to risk it I completely understand what your going through right now and the doctors know what their doing and they’ll take amazing care of your mom ❤❤❤
