The Reality Show for Superheroes

Stan Lee's "Who Wants To Be A Superhero" was a reality competition show from 2006 where a bunch of goofy adults competed against each other in some less-than-exciting challenges, all for the grand prize of having a comic book written about them. It was silly, it was frustrating, and it was hardly memorable. Let's check it out!

The one moment this review didn’t cover was when Feedback tearfully told Stan that after his father’s death, Stan-through his comics-became a kind of surrogate father to him, teaching him right from wrong. It was one of the few times I ever saw Stan get really serious: he answered “Thank you. I’m not sure I deserve that, but that you.” You could tell it was a really humbling moment for him.

As much as I like Major Victory, I did start rooting for Feedback after he said that. Well actually it was mostly from that challenge with the "inmates", where the heroes were suppose to hug them. Feedback was the only one to get one of them to agree to a hug.

*An amazing quote I found from Major Victory* “I always equated meeting Stan Lee with meeting my wife. It was April 4, 2006 when I met Stan and Jennifer Mae. A producer named Jeff brought her over and introduced us in our Superhero identities. ‘Major Victory this is Diamond Girl.’ We hit it off and kept in touch. From that day on, we were together. We met on April 4th, got married on April 4th, and we both met Stan Lee on that rainy April 4th in 2006." I went on a quest to see what happened to him after the show, and this absolutely made my day

It really does just work, doesn't it? Like Stripper or wrestler. You get the athleticism, you know how to perform under pressure and all that stuff, and then it also perfectly explains the costume because of course, right? And if you're a stripper, you go back to the club at night and then you go to the guy serving drinks, and they can be like your informant. "Hey, Victor, watch out when you go home tonight, I heard people talk about how there's been kidnappings lately. People keep disappearing and the only thing left behind is a white rose" or whatever. (Side note, I know his name is Chris, but Maor Victory's real name being Victor feels more comic book-y) Then you get all the potential love interests and the drama or whatever, and it's like... yeah, I'd read that. Heck yeah.
