Instead i saw many verse where women doin nothing shares equal part and rights in husband's property..it's obvious it is asked to obey husband in the case if he is demanding not to allow any man in the house bcoz he is concerned abt the safety...even wife is allowed to nullify his husband if she finds him abusive...i dnt knw y the people like u knowin nothing come to bark in comment section Go and read ...it has given such rights to make women stronger..as in Islam when a woman is divorcing her husband she has right to ask for dowry so that she can survive even after leaving him...and the husband has to give the demanded amount of money... So see without doin it working a woman is having all rights on his father then full right on husband's property... And in every religion woman are told to obey men but in Islam men are told not to dislike ur wife bcoz Allah says u might like other qualities....and if he is taking care of everything that means he is mature enough so we r told to be obedient....as even he is asked to fulfill all our demands without any complain U be disobedient to ur husband see he will kick u out..if he asks u to not to tlk to the man who is hitting on u still u do so he will surely kick u out In the same way Quran told both men and women to be faithful obedient so that marriage last till death instead of ending up in divorce

This is a religion that kills apostates and there’s no denying the violence and hatred it has towards non-believers. Again, I’m not the one hating, the only thing I did was read the Islamic sources and have came to that conclusion. The brainwashed are the ones who say Islam is peaceful because the evidence contradicts it. People will only ignore and runaway from the truth, people like yourself. The reality in Muslim countries is that women are not treated equally in terms of equal opportunities. Having read the Quran, in full, I find that not only does it undermine women's rights it also undermines the rights of other faiths, people of no faith and people who wish to leave the Islamic faith. This is why I believe you must separate religion from politics. Whilst I believe that everyone should have a right to practice in their faith, there is a need to separate of religion from politics and government. There is not one single Islamic country I would want to live in today.

    [2:241] The divorcees also shall be provided for, equitably. This is a duty upon the righteous.(17:32) Do not approach (the bounds of) adultery. With regards to women's rights the Quran dedicates one chapter of its one-hundred and fourteen chapters to women which is evident from the very name of the chapter, Women (AN-NISA).[28] The Quran in that chapter states that whoever does good deeds, whether they are male or female, shall enter Paradise and not the least bit of injustice shall be dealt to them.[29] The same message is repeated in chapter sixteen" Whoever does good whether male or female and he is a believer, we will most certainly make him live a happy life, and We will most certainly give them their reward for the best of what they did".[30] The ability of women to bear children is a significant attribute used by the Quran in a number of verses to uplift the status of women.[31][32] One such chapter states " And We have enjoined man in respect of his parents--his mother bears him with fainting upon fainting and his weaning takes two years--saying: Be grateful to Me and to both your parents; to Me is the eventual coming".[33] in terms of the economic rights of women, the Quran demands "And give women their dowries as a free gift, but if they of themselves be pleased to give up to you a portion of it, then eat it with enjoyment and with wholesome result".[34] Women have also been given the right to inherit in the Quran.[35] The Quran in one particular verse creates an additional obligation on men to provide, protect, and generally take care of women as their guardians and not as superiors.[36] Perhaps the most valued status, with regards to women, is that of a mother in the Quran as it illustrates this point by binding the reward of paradise to those who satisfy the needs of their parents.[37]

I grew up thinking Muslim women couldn't drive and they would never change that law, but Saudi Arabia recently change it and I'm proud for them. But still I most likely would never go to any muslim countries. I kinda believe islamophobia is a little more rational fear for women (like an actual fear, not like you should discriminate people for their religion), women could actually get stoned to death under their religion/laws, also a woman's word on court (under Sharia) is worth 1/2 of a man's word. Grew up with all this 9/11 thing going on and depictions of women covering up their whole body and face for men and I don't believe it's out of pure "modesty".

She told them that she was knowledgeable about such rules. They remarked that when a woman or a dog, or a donkey passed in front of a praying person, the latter's prayer was nullified. She corrected their wrong understanding with sarcasm (by saying that they are equating woman with dogs) and said that when the Prophet(P) prayed his tahajjud (midnight voluntary prayers) in her room, her bed (where she lay) was right in front of him. Hence, those Muslims were wrong in their understanding of the rules of nullification of salat: a salat is not nullified if a woman is in front of a praying person.

  • @Nicklenickle

    @Nicklenickle

    3 ай бұрын

    Wasn't always the case; if you research, you'd find how and why. Another thing, how're you gonna infer that Islam doesn't give equal rights to women, when Islam began with giving rights to women. In places where daughters were a disappointment, Islam made daughter to be a wonderful gift. More over on "equal rights", again, you can't equalize men and women. Certain ways yes, such as "let men and women choose their spouse" (a simple example), but you can't equalize them when commanding. An example of that would be men and women both being told to lift equal weights, of course it'll be easier for men to lift weights than it would be for women. Equality or equity?

  • @anchalsharma

    Most of the Islamic scholars agree that this is only in terms of financial transactions because the Qur'an specifically mentions financial transactions, because Allah placed the responsibility of finance on the man so with that theory, he would know better. In fact, there are also places where ONLY women can testify and men cannot, such as breastfeeding children and other things. Also, in all other things in the Qur'an the gender is not specified, you just need to bring witnesses. In fact, a SIGNIFICANT chunk of our religion comes from the Prophet (PBUH)'s actions and sayings, 2210 of which came from his wife Aisha, when she would be alone with him, which basically means that her testimony alone sufficed for a major chunk of our religion.

However, I still think that women's rights should be separated from religion because, in a certain way, all religions ask, whether to a greater or lesser degree, to be submissive. A feminist must follow a secular agenda and then, if she even needs it, practice a religion or spiritual belief in God that helps her on a day-to-day basis. So Non Muslim girl if chooses to marry whether out of intention/fraudulence, A Muslim boy, she will loose the right to, (i) Property, the way she would had enjoyed if she were not married a Muslim boy, (ii) She will loose right to divorce, (iii) She will loose right to Inheritance, Succession etc. in ways she would enjoy if she has not married a Muslim boy.....-.

Also some people think that when in Islam it says that a man can smack his wife lightly if she’s disobedient/not loyal it means they’re allowed to hit them for adding too much salt in their food. NO! It should only happen when the limit has crossed.

    Disobedient? That depicts that a man is considered to be above a woman like a parent. No man should have the right to hit a woman unless she hit him first. That is basically trashing all equality. If woman says no to intimacy for a day, that's also disobedience. Will the man hit her then? In some cases women also become victims of marital rape. Disgusting.

    Swell, this is how you've understood my religion, and I do see that you have done a surface level research on it. So I appluad you for doing atleast that much, and I appreciate the effort. Though, I see the comments here, and I am amazed. As a Muslim woman, I do believe I have the right to correct you, because really, I dare you to oppress me. Subhan-Allah, there's so much that goes into understanding the religion. Context, history, authentic, as well as reliable texts etc, beginning ofcourse, with a sincere approach of seeking the truth of it. Afterall, you cannot expect to look at a clean lake with muddy glasses and see it's purity- that's mad! But man, one of the most important things out of all of them, is understanding and knowing the Arabic language itself; is it not sensible to study the ultimate source in it's original form? Read, just as the first revelation commands us. Read. I would not be part of this religion if the same Allah who forbade himself from injustice and oppression commanded his creation to oppress and be unjust to me, and my fellow women. As for the people that have come with concerns about this religion- such as the testimony of a women is half that of a man-then I do ask of them to tell my learned sisters the same. We'll see how true your words are. But let me just leave you with one thing for that concern of yours. If that was the case for every woman, every single time, without it being an exception, then why in the world does Aisha, the most intellectual woman scholar of her time (and I say even now) take a huge chunk of authentic narrations from the prophet (peace be upon him)- without which our entire religion would be incomplete-and it's not considered as so? You cannot take a part of a text out of context and expect it to apply universally to all people no matter the situation. Therefore, I urge you, and everyone else to continue your research. Peace be upon you : )

    Aisha was muhammads wife. Many things which are not ok for other ppl were ok for muhammad and his wives: a. Muhammad had 11 wives while muslim men are allowed max 4. b. Muhammads wives were not allowed to be married after death of husband unlike other muslim women where its enciuraged for them to remarry. c. Khadijas testimony was accepted, related to mohammad claiming to be prophet, even though normal muslim women have to have another co female witness for their testimony to be accepted. So, do not compare rules for mohammad and his wives with that of other men and women.

    bruh. You really got an agenda against Islam. Im not learned enough in Islam to but I have basic knowledge to debunk your claims abt Muhammad (Peace be upon him) not letting his wives remarry after his death. The thing is, he gave all of his wives the option to leave him at a point in time, but they all refused (this shows that thry really loved and respected him and wanted to stay with him). And btw, some of the rulings that applied to Muhammad's (Peace be upon him) wives dont apply to any other women. For example, his wives had a physical barrier between them and the opposite gender, this only applies to them and no body else.Plus Khadija (RA's) testimony to Muhammad (Peace be upon him) being a prophet was when Islam didn't have any specific rulings yet. This was when Islam wasn't fully complete so your argument doesn't work. You're comparing pre-complete Islam to fully complete Islam, this is wrong.

Thats a terrible terrible deal! Its very stupid because what happens if those men are not there tomorrow to give you money like a child. What if your parents died or did not have money to give or didnt want to give money....not all parents are loving, willing to support their adult offsprings like a child. The offsprings, both, daughters and sons, should be supporting the parents instead of the daughters asking money from parents after attaining university/ college degree.... Also not all parents live long....also not all women get married, those who do, out of them not all have happy marriages, not all have very loving husbands willing to give them money for all things important to her. Majority men treat their wives as property since they financially support them so they exert their authority.... Woman who doeant have any means to support herself, cant say 'no' to her husband even though he would be very wrong and cruel to her.... She has to bear all his whims and wishes and bear his attitude because he knows that she wont leave him cuz she has nowhere to go, no money to support herself...its like willingly allowing yourself to be controlled, managed and manipulated by another person because he has your financial control. Thats the biggest reason of marital rapes, domestic abuse, unhappy marriges, childhood psychological issues developed in children in such families.... So on and so forth....even those women who have good husbands which are very rare nowadays, what if they die, are kidnapped, become handicapped, loose their job or anything can happen to them anytime, so what will the woman do to feed herself and ensure her children continue their good education, get through university and get married.... How will she do that if she doesn't know how to have financial stability?? Should she start begging people for money or should she become a prostitute because nobody would hire her on a good job with no job experience, no experience of outside home and the world, no knowledge of how to deal with people, and no recently attained worthwhile academic qualification.

You weren't there at that time and neither was I but, I believe in a book that has never changed for over 10 generations. Though Mohammed (PBUH) is the prophet, our god is Allah and we don't believe strangers over something that's been their and has never changed. Correction* the Jews also hated Jesus BUT, THAT DIDN'T CHANGE ANYONE'S MINDS. Also do you even know how to translate arabic? And there's a difference BETWEEN MODERN ARABIC AND ANCIENT ARABIC! Instead of being Islamophobic, just stick to your own belief.. also learn how to spell.

Million people do divorce in western countries because they don't know value of women they just do whatever they need without getting marry it should be religion? Women drunk and dance with strangers Infront of husband it should be religion? When kids are born they have 100 father and moms it should be religion? If you read the Bible many times say those who drink wine is not wise so through Bible it proved you are not wise...in Bible say women should should cover head and you say it's old verses so in new tastement Jesus said I didn't come destroy the law of old tastement and those who make changes in Bible shall not go to paradise so by Bible its proved you will not enter to paradise... Jesus said I am a normal human being chosen between one of you and whatever I do I do by help of father and he is greater than me and every one and you called Jesus as God...which doesn't make sense even in Bible in Bible there is no verse where Jesus without doubt say I am God worship me.. first you say Jesus is God and then say Jesus died on cross so how can you say God protect us? If your God didn't save his self from Jews so Jews were more powerful than your God? As Muslim believers Jesus didn't die on cross and he is discussed more in Quran than other prophet.. I have many things to say but for you ignorants that's enough... First read Bible then come and put fingers in others religion... Quran is the holy book that is perfect book for science too...
