Guys don’t take this the wrong way but I really do like seeing folks without much working and doing their best. Many “improvement” shows are so staged with all the right tools and perfect materials to work with. It is real world what you guys are doing. Keep pushing on!!!

Lol regular people remodel their homes every single day. If you're doing the remodel work yourself, you should already expect to buy the tools for the job and have that budgeted before. Sometimes it might be cheaper to pay someone else's time that to do it yourself. Sometimes it's not. Depends what you know, what tools you have and and what works best for your situation.

Always find things that need repaired on older homes. You need to get you a good caulking gun, and a ton of caulk before you paint the place. Maybe rent an electric one. Otherwise your going to have forearms like Popeye squeezing the trigger a million times! LOL House is looking good though! Your little Belle girl made me nervous walking barefoot across those beams. I'm thinking NAILS! NAILS! NAILS! 😳OK, Cool! NO NAILS! LOL Don't mind seeing a little blood and tears, Just not hers! LOL Best of luck guys! Waiting for the next video.

You're doing great you guy's! I applaud your ethics in wanting to make sure you repair and replace everything you find wrong with your home before you sell it to someone else. Most people would just pass the problems on to the next buyers, like they were passed on to your family. It's good to know there are still honest people in this world. Great job you guys! I can't wait to see how it looks when it's all completed. I pray God blesses your family with a wonder home this next time.

Great job on the door and flooring. "surprises" are the norm in DYI or contractor work. No surprise to you and Ashley I am sure. A suggestion.....in installing your door and sealing it with the putty strip, the trailers surface has elevation changes, or valleys along the doors vertical lengths. Those valleys depth may compromise the integrity of the putty's sealing ability. A sideways driving rain may find entry. My suggestion is that you follow up with a bead of good quality white caulk around the doors edge as added leak prevention insurance. Terrific work as usual. Stay safe.

The "can of worms" syndrome happens to everyone. I can start a 30 minute project and watch helplessly as it turns into an all day or multi-day job including 9 trips to the hardware store. Its good t o see that some people can still do things for themselves! There are a lot of people who don't even cook. Food is delivered by a guy wearing a funny hat.

Btw have you decided on if your keeping the outside the same colours? I know you're doing white and keeping the style (stripe) but are you also keeping the orange? 🐡🐡🐡 I feel like you may have said the barn red colour which would look good but if you dont end up doing that maybe a nice forest dark green? 🌲🌲🌲 As the stripe since most of the inside is neutral or green (in the kitchen counters? from memory maybe im imagining the old ones lol idk) it would blend really well with the surrounds but if you dont want it to be the more forest tones like the neutrals and the woods but more like the barn then thatd look super cool too! I think more people are attracted to red anyway. 🍎🍎🍎 The almost japanese neutral wooden style you have going on really suits your minimalism too. Very elegant and refreshing! 💖

I remember tearing out the old carpet in the trailer l bought. Not only do you find out that the floor is damaged but they put the walls down over the linoleum, then put down carpet padding, and then the carpet. The carpet was the original in the back room so the padding was nothing but dried up, hard crusty dust. I had to cut all the carpet out from under the walls. Such a stupid way to build something. Your videos just bring back memories NOT all good.😂

It gets really loud some days. It's been kind of a weight off our shoulders to talk about it on our channel because now we aren't as worried about trying to hide the noise. A lot of people live along the highway and don't seem to mind so I'm sure there is someone out there who will enjoy this property. The guy who lived here before us was here for over 20 years.

I appreciate how much you are fixing even though you're selling. Me and my stepdad basically redid our entire trailer because the way they build them is so wrong and careless and criminal... everything is rotted and lacking and they just keep saying it is "normal" and they keep building them that way... so messed up. Anyway, really happy to see your honesty and kindness in the way you upgraded this to sell.

I am trying to cope with these same problems on a tight budget. I was blessed to find my ancient single-wide and lot at a price I could afford. 1972 mobile home that was not well built. But my previous neighborhood had become very dangerous. But - one of the past owners was a talented cabinet maker, some of the shelves and built-in cabinets are well-built and beautiful. My son picked up a 1967 Kirkwood mobile home for free last month. Needs quite a bit of work. I've hired a very good handyman to take care of the three bigger issues, although he might be doing a bit more. The home has not been lived in or taken care of for 30 years. We found 30 year old National Geographics and newspapers. The main issue is that about 5 feet of one of the walls has pulled away from the floor due to rot. The 2nd issue is sealing the roof. The third issue is the electrical box. It's all fuses. That's getting replaced. All wiring is copper. Tubs and sinks are cast iron. I will be taking care of floor rot, minor plumbing, flooring, painting and insulation underneath. We are getting a heat pump and new duct work installed. I saw a video last week showing how to make the paneling look like sheet rock. I'll be doing that as well as replacing the doors. The exterior paint is gone and some of the metal needs replaced. I'll be replacing the metal and repainting. I bought a 20 gallon air compressor and a cheap, but highly recommended paint gun.

I commend you on your choices to always do a home improvement job the right way and fix the issues rather than patch or hide them. Ide be happy to buy a home from you because I know I'm getting honesty about the house. Good video keep up the good work! Seems like your channel has grown recently and I'm happy to see it

Still studying for my expected & known near future! Next refresher lesson: Our mobile home was more rotted than we thought. lol, I know mine will be. It helps to know what I will see before I start pulling places apart. I need to be able to make sound judgments before I start dumping the equivalent of a year or two's living expenses into it. Just in case it is so bad that I might need a backup plan if it turns out to be non salvageable. I absolutely need to make this work. But I have noticed many people in my new area are not living in much better circumstances, though they look well off on the surface of things. People have been very candid & open with me, & I have also been very observant of what I have seen & of how they have problem solved solutions. It is wonderful!
