They have done it for hundreds of thousands of years. What is wrong with you? I have watched 50 seconds and you are already proving yourself to be full of nonsense and lying to people to try and get them interested.

    TBH, the generations born in the vault would probably have an easier time adapting than those that knew the outside world. The fact that they don't utilize robots or the memory lounges to add more forms of entertainment or just to break up the monotony is a missed opportunity.

  • @seveup-bim

    @seveup-bim

    24 күн бұрын

    Absolutely. After a few generations, people would not even really even consider the outside as there would be very little, maybe even no motivation to venture out and explore. This used to be the case in the ancient times when only very small groups of people would ever leave the safety of their own tribes and villages and rarely ventured further than the distance they could cover before nightfall.

Take interesting topics whether from games, literature, movies or even the real world and see how they could make sense now or into the future from the construction and architecture perspective. Anyway, happy you enjoyed it and thanks for the words of encouragement.

    I think Vault 88 is the best way to realize the true scope of a fully functional vault. All those excavated areas you explore were intended to be part of the vault. Truly a massive scale. I'm sure there are some who have built it out and would presumably be larger than any other vault you get to explore. But the show takes it one step further, looking down through many levels of support structure, sort of like the engineering shot in Star Trek 2009, giving the impression of massive scale. Vault 88 also tells us that it would take many freight train loads of materials to build out the vault.

    I think the US Government nuke shelter is able to take in more than 1000 people for years, though the precise specs are secret, it's clearly possible to build them even today. I think the biggest problem would be psychological. There's a big difference between staying in a vault for a month or even a year and spending there your entire life, especially if you were the unlucky generation that was born into the pre-war surface dwelling world.

    It seems like "Fusion" in the fallout world is very different from Fusion as we think of it in the real world. Fusion should never result in the release of radioactive materials. And fusion shouldn't be prone to exploding. A melt down of a fusion reactor should just result in the plasma cooling rapidly and the fusion reaction ceasing. For some crazy reason Fusion in Fallout strongly resembles fission reactions with a need for constant cooling, radioactive materials involved, and risk of explosion (which is odd because even real world fission reactors down really tend to explode, they can in very rare circumstances meltdown and release material, but they don't tend to explode).

    Funny thing is that ChatGTP was seriously considered for scripting but due to the complexity of the script, the story telling and the flow we abandoned the idea and I wrote it myself. MMLs achieved a level when you literally have to dumb down the language of your own writing to make sure that people will think, "yeah there's no way AI wrote it" lol. I do get your point though. There's so much AI written, edited and narrated content on KZread now, it's a bit crazy.

     @SophiesDriver maybe. In his career as the head of the legal department for the national railway, my dad spent 40 years typing. First on a typewriter and later on a keyboard and despite more than 40 years of experience typing he never got better at it than me after a year typing with all 10. But I suppose he became more than capable and a real pro of typing with two fingers for more than 40 years. 😊

    Yep it's a lot. If you consider that a single bath is anything from 200 to 400 litres and you add things like brushing teeth and hands, toilet flushing, washing up or cleaning, etc it quickly stacks up. Add to it any communal use of water per capita and it's probably more than you could ever imagine.
