I needed this video! This came across my feed perfect timing, honestly. It's so ironic cause I just made an appointment for knotless braids lol thank you for these tips!
Thesea are solid tips that do work. For the first time in my adult life I've been able to grow my hair by doing these exact things. Trimming damaged/split ends, wearing protective styles, not leaving my hair out when going to sleep or anything that might have me rubbing my head against things causing friction or breakage. I haven't done the deep conditioning thing much because I'm kinda lazy and/or busy and I don't do scalp moisturizing enough for the same reason but I'm gonna have to get better cuz I want waist length hair and Im already half way there, whereas before I couldn't get it past shoulder length.
I wasn’t expecting the Unlay oil to be so affordable!!! I can’t wait to try that out.
Love this, may your hair flow and your channel grow XX

WOW, in the last 3 days I've watched about a hundred videos on growing relaxed hair. You are the ONLY video I've seen who say braiding relaxed hair or using protective styles are okay. Every video I've seen said DO NOT braid relaxed hair if you want to grow it and keep it healthy and from breaking.
@IannaYvonne

Hello. Thank you for watching💕 my hair stays in a protective style. If I do braids I do jumbo. So there is less tension on the scalp. I also make sure my take down routine is correct 😆 I also keep my style in for 2-3 months. I used to go longer 🤦🏽♀️ That way all the manipulation is worth it. I have an entire protective style playlist on my channel. I think you may find it helpful if you’re interested in possibly wearing braids.

OMG those drapes are GORGEOUS!! I love interior decorating. That coffee table centerpiece is also beautiful. I disagree about the quality of conditioner not mattering. The more expensive products usually use less "filler" chemicals and higher quality ingredients. I can see the diff. The Oribe Good Lust line is pricey but imo you get what you pay for.

I’m very thankful for this vid, because I’m on my hair re-growth journey, after my big chop about 3 years ago. I’m maintaining length but not enough thickness. I don’t want to go natural, though I am completely natural right now. I wear wigs as my protective style and by spring I want to get a perm, but I have been reluctant due to how it could defeat all of what I have been doing for my hair. I don’t manipulate my hair very much and I do deep conditioning with leave-in conditioners and rice water etc while rocking my shower cap during the day (since I’m home most of the time). I have several decorative shower caps that are the type I can sleep in when conditioning at night. Thanks for the tips.

Hi, you have a new subscriber. I love the information and decor.
I was thinking about going natural because relaxers aren't good and my hair is not growing at all but when it's time for relaxer the regrowth from my hair feels really tight on my head. It even gives me a headache until I get my relaxer. Is this normal? I joke with myself and say my hair is on crack no offense. So I came to KZread to see how it go relaxed to Natural. Then I saw your video and I said oh I'm watching this. I really enjoyed the tips that you gave and I also agree with everything you're saying. I need a relaxer right this moment LOL. And I want to tell you you know everybody watching this video is looking at your living room and saying how beautiful it is. Not only that when I get my new home I just use your style because it's gorgeous elegant, glamorous, classy and sophisticated. Hello. Thanks so much! And If drug store products don’t work well for you, I recommend the ORIBE line. I began using the restorative conditioner after my hair was badly damaged with a bad perming experience. It was VERY good at restoring my hair to a healthy state. It was just a bit pricey for me at $60 a bottle 😬. I tried Shea moisture and found it maintained the healthy of my hair and have been using them ever since. If the price doesn’t bother you I would recommend that line.

@IannaYvonne

Hello. Thank you for watching. I moisturizer and seal on my wash day. If it’s FRESHLY done/styled I only apply oil as needed for shine. Closer to my wash day ( when my style is done) I will apply the oil to my scalp and hair daily. I detail this process a bit more in my gain and retain length video if your interested 💕
My relaxed hair grew without a problem. It is my natural hair that does not. I haven't relaxed because I know I am going to be making a decision on impulse. I am taking my time and deciding on what I am going to be doing.

I know there are many different factors that affect people's hair journey. I know when an natural my hair doesn't grow as well verses when am relaxed. I know the less manipulation to your hair the better and you can retain length. I do agree we need oild and deep conditioning and cut off all damage hair...I really wish my hubby would let me perm my kids hair cuz natural hair is sooooo time consuming and my teenager has extremely thick hair and an barely put it in a decent ponytail lord knows am tired of doing all this hair lol

This might be late but Rosemary oil can soften the hair 😊 Also aloe as a detangler x or try blow drying on a light setting to get all the knots out. It’ll be about 6x faster 😉
Also, drink plenty of water. If you stay dehydrated, hair breaks more easily in my experience. Hair, skin, nails need to have water in our bodies to look the best.
