I was offered the chance to move to Australia from Cardiff in 2003 with my job, I am and always will be a proud Welshman but I’ve only been back twice in 20 years, you can exist in the UK but if you want to actually live you have to move away, life is for living simple as that. I know the days are dragging on for you but hang on in there for your health sake, no point in going back until you get the all-clear, just imagine heading back to Thailand and you have a relapse, It's not worth the risk, I'm in my fifties myself and I know how you feel stuck this side of the world, but the time won't be long passing and you'll be living it large over their very soon, I can even see you decorating the Christmas tree in the castle, black of course with leather baubles. Take care wish I was their in November for the meet up. 🏝

Fully agree with your assessment. The same applies here in Australia. Horribly expensive, and the behaviour of many people is very disturbing. I enjoy Pattaya for much the same reasons as you. It's a free and easy place where you can go to the beach, a bar, a restaurant etc and strike up a conversation with the locals and the tourists/ex pats that live there and have a really great time. You can live alone there but you are never far from company and fun, plus it is really easy to get around (and cheap). 3 months to go for you.

It’s a no brainer for sure. I know it’s easy to bash the UK but it’s just gone beyond a joke now. The rich getting richer etc…I am by no means a KZread expert but some of your best content is when you are telling stories and getting all excited where you can’t sit still. They crack me up. Start a series, they only have to be 5 or 10 mins long. Keeps the content going and I’m sure you have plenty of stories! Call it Thailand Tales or something shit like that? Take it easy fella. I collapsed in Feb because of my Diabetes was in Hospital 4 a week then lost most of my sight which was a nightmare as u take it 4 granted as u can literally do nothing without your eyesight! I'm slowly getting better got 90 % sight back in my left eye! If I'm well enough I'm going 2 try Thailand at the end of October! Maybe we could meet 4 a couple of drinks? Who do u recommend 4 cheap flights?

New sub here webby, nice video , picture quality is 100% i might bump into you in pattaya over christmas, plan on going back to TH on october 25th and getting a non o retirement visa, been messenging different agents and prices from 25000bht to 38000bht, the 38k bht was retirement o visa/open bank account/driving licence,. my thai g/f has a house and blue book for residence certificate(,Bangkok bank for account ) just hope immigration dosent move the goal posts again apart from the 90 day visa exempt rule which would be fantastic,. fingers x,d,..cheers.

Well I went to A&E give my sisters address and told them I live in Thailand full time never had any problems just went straight in and got looked after, if you are ill and need treatment the NHS will never ever turn you away

Have you signed a contract yet for the condo? Would you be interested in living in a house in Na Jomtien about 2 miles before Bansary? 5 minute walk to banampur beach and 2 minute walk to the sukumvit to catch a baht bus into pattaya for 20 baht? I have houses there. I couldn't live full time in pattaya. I'm coming over 15th December with my son for a month.. would like to meet up with you. Hope you get back well soon fella. Best thing you could've done was coming home to get seen to. Shame kev in Thailand left it to long to come home.

Didn't have any insurance, I had the money to pay, both doctors told me to get home ASAP or I'll die in a few days

It's depressing here to in Cork, I'd move in the morning to Thailand, but commitments here are holding me at the moment, I'm lucky I've no kids, no wife no loans, 2 times a year I was getting out there before covid. So as often as I can now ill get out there. Meet you out there some time.

@@welshboywebby I know it's mad, I got a flight for 685euros and a hotel for 300euro all in, electricity, water, and bath bus outside the door between Pattaya and jontien, a hotel in Cork starts at 250euro for 1 night and a female paddy bull head at reception. Give me a month in Thailand and lovely smiles any day, and I got a 250cc for 130euro, you'd need a mortgage for a long weekend here. Great to see your on the mend, at least now you've something to look forward to after your scan, that'll be fine too.

It's really cheap there, I know the place like the back of my hand, but I will say when I get back in November I'm going to start travelling around Thailand see what's about

Ps...The Police were the same when I lived in Goa bud I actually got to know a few not that I ever needed their help except for a visa extension , but hay if I had I'd have been ok as long as it wasn't really serious even had a couple of numbers on my phone at one point just in case got help with one setting me up with a doctor and got my visa extended due to not fit to travel because of a " bike accident " cost me about £50 between the two stayed 3 months over the 6 but could have stayed another 3 I was told if id wished , that was on my second vist and I had no problems with the letter he gave me to return with other than having to wait in a office for half an hour at the airport while they checked it out all went straight through when checked good memories ...(lol) Later

All the best on your return to Pattaya I can understand why you want to return fair play you just need a hobby as well as your nice 👍 you tube channel I was a real piss head and drug taker when I first went to Thailand over 30 odd years back I cut everything for ten years and still went to Thailand and had a great time with Thai friends mostly I drink still now but know I can't get carried away and love Chang can't stand Leo or any other thai piss you if you can have one nite on the piss ten pints say you can do it and I know you will. everything in moderation. 10 pints once a week won't kill you but will make you happy😊 so much to do especially in Pattaya that doesn't involve bars. Booze women. that won't cost you 💰 money or very little even a hour walk most mornings will do you do much good but also you will feel on top of the moon wishing only the best Webby from Auckland New Zealand 🙏☮️✌️

60 Thai baht (£1.33) doesnt get you the equivalent of a pint of UK poured beer anywhere in Thailand. Not even close! Misleading.

@@welshboywebby you said 60 baht a pint!!!!? Standard bottle at that price just scrapes in a half a pint. If your going to put it our there at least get it correct.

I was getting two bottles of Chang or Leo/Singha etc for 99 baht in Jomtien in some places in June which works out roughly at £2.20 a pint, most places I was paying no more than 70 or 80 baht a 330 ml bottle so roughly around the £3.00 a pint mark, still not bad, I get a pint of Fosters here in Wolverhampton in my local town centre pub The Billy Wright for £2.35 so it’s swings and roundabouts.

You can talk the hind legs off a donkey😂

I'm going travelling around Thailand when I get back

There needs to be a reference word for all UK guys to "Quote Misery" which explains why many are leaving for SE Asia & explaining the same thing, "Miserable UK" & Feeling Good in Asia Probably save 30mins of explaining the same reasons on every vid. Never the less Webby I enjoy yer vids. PS I left 40yrs ago

Buddy try dating sites here in the UK, fat lazy woman, load of kids, there job title is full time mommy and they want an invetsment banker who is 6ft2, no kids and enjoys DIY. Finished work at 48, moved to Thailand at 50 I'm never ever going back in the rat race, you'll need about 18k a year watch my videos when I went out there all you need to know money wise

Cheers buddy, I am just watching your video on monthly spending now. It really is a different world. My council tax in Sheffield is £160 amonth in my flat. For the past 6 months I have been at my girlfriends down south and my electric even thou I was not here was £100 a month, you get the picture! I ask myself what am I doing! As I could have an investment income of about 1500 to 1800 a month and not have to put up with the above costs and watching Britain decline! I take you are happier? Do you ever get lonely?
