That non slip stuff is also supplied in black , used in many applications in workshop & home & not expensive .
Kove 800X carries the fuel low like the BMW and feels incredibly light. I sat on one last week.

Speedy recovery mate and thanks for the interesting content as ever
Always enjoy listening to you chat through bike info 🍻💪
Some good info today as always. I love the 7-9 minute videos. they are quick to get through and you always put out tons of "solid" (didn't mean to do that, but here we are) information. Riding heals the soul. Hopefully, you are at least running up to the market on a bike to keep the batteries happy. take care!
I really admire your family-first priorities. Thank you a ton for the videos!

Great video! Appreciate your time answering people’s questions. I was wondering what you think about the Ducati desert sled?

Get offroad soon brother 👍 But until then stay fit and make sure to get your daily exercise
The 800GS may or may not have better balance, but its Parralel twin has a 180 crank. Revs past 5000 is no joy. You dont need root canal treatment with (any) 180 twin... it vibrates your soul out of its sockets.
Keeping it real Solid. Hang in there mate. 👍

One thing from experience over the last few years. Have suffered extreme fatigue , due to a medical condition , but if I ride an E scooter , a bicycle …or a motorcycle the fatigue fog and aches disappear . It even occurs driving …it’s as if movement itself over 10 km per hour …fixes the fatigue . A scientist should look into this .
Oooh this video is fresh
Best wishes
Speedy recovery
Solid…..I really enjoy your channel. In saying that…..I can’t even begin to state in how many ways I completely disagree with your recommendation for an F800GS. 🤦🏻♂️ Out of respect, I’ll agree to disagree……and my only food for thought for you, why did BMW decide to move the tank back to the front top on the newer 850 and even more off road F900GS?! Anyways……wish you good health and happy family, always looking forward to your thoughts (aside from the F800). 😃👍
Top man
Look after yourself, Solid. Riding is important, but your family and health are more important. It's also hard to go riding without family support and good health. 😁 If anyone else notices something different or unusual about their skin, go to a doctor and get checked, especially if you had a typical Australian outdoor childhood getting sunburnt. Hope it's not too long before you can go riding again 👍

I’m hoping that Royal Enfield releases an ADV bike based on the 650 Interceptor, or a Scrambler or both. Low to no tech, not too heavy, not to powerful or expensive. Just right! And I can check the valves myself.😎👍
The first model F800GS is still the lightest "modern" twin around. Shows how backwards Japan and Europe have gone. Look to the KOve 800X as the new standard bearer, only just.
Hei Solid❤ hope you get well soon! Greetings from Norway

Thoughts on a 2024 Ktm 790 adv? Pretty light curb weight, low slung weight, decent suspension that could be upgraded. Good electronics, lots of dealers & $10999=good value!
The stuff you put under your kriega bag is marketed as anti slip material for use in boats and camper vans 👍

You might consider the Tuareg 660, I have owned the F800gs and I much prefer the Aprilia Tuareg 660, no comparison in my opinion

Someone put a two stroke twin out of a Yamaha Banshee in a Honda XR600 frame on Kaplan America's channel... so anything's possible.
@maskedavenger2578

The CRF frame is just about up to coping with the 250 - 300 ( 270.cc ) single engine . A CB 500 engine requires a proper frame .
Yeah mate maybe take a break from the KZread before you end up living in that house alone! Unless of course this brings you an income, and of course if there is breaking news that cant wait. Good work bro. 😉

Hey solid, best wishes to your health, like when you compare bikes, considering the money many spend upgrading the 300L, suspension mostly/power ECU mod, what is your opinion on the Husky 701 as a buy and ride away. It’s been toying with me, only reliability ? Reports indicate it’s ok on the tar too, ya opinion, I would value

I've had an absolute gutful of clickbait driven fake KZread content ... yes, I'll put my hand up to getting excited when I saw the fake Suzuki TS700 a few weeks ago. But all these fake mockups are just a waste of time & space. If someone said: "Hey, here's my mock up of a concept bike, and I'm inviting designers to supply their own bits so we can produce an after market customisation kit for ..." then that might be a great idea (not necessarily economically viable though). Sadly, the AI bandwagon is only going to keep on producing fake everything. KZread needs to filter the content, so that there's a toggle switch to separate real from fake content. And I'd love a 'block all KZread shorts' button too.
I enjoy your videos and presentations. Disregard any negative persons and embrace who you are. Sir Patrick Stewart(aka Captain Jean Luc Picard of Star Trek) is intelligent and sexy according to the women. Dave from Canada

Isn’t it more a problem of terminology? The “on/off road” nomenclature is silly - should be triangulated road/off tarmac/off road. The “off road” shouldn’t be confused with off tarmac, the first refers to single track, desert, through rivers, etc. What the vast majority of riders on adventure bikes do is some off tarmac, but we’re still on a road of some kind, and we usually get there on a paved road.

This used to bug the crap out of me. Off-road, as commonly used when describing moto or 4WD adventures, is so often incorrect! 😂 I've now accepted most people believe the travesty that off road includes dirt *roads*, and don't see any wrong. 🤦 Once, I could no longer be friends with such people, now I just quietly grind my teeth. 😂😂😂
@UncleWally3

@@thefathippy Well, it gets crazier if you toss in “adventure rider” into mix. Personally, I believe jumping on a Vespa to grab a coffee could offer as much adventure as riding the TAT across America. My own riding is about 5% off road, 30% off tarmac and 65% on rural and urban roads. But even that is wonky math because so much depends on the bike I’m riding. Anyway, I guess the best thing we can do is enjoy the ride and not hide behind labels?
Kove 450/800 , its more like 25KG lighter ffs. the other brands aint even trying for the past decade .

Sometimes, the idiot is not the person with whom you ("you" meaning: whoever the individual may be...not you, specifically) are arguing. Sometimes, you are the idiot and are simply unwilling to recognize and/or accept it and must, instead, project blame elsewhere...because projecting it elsewhere is certainly easier than assuming responsibility!
