Motorcycle marketing is very odd. How many motorcycle riders are riding the Dakar? Kove and KTM sell 450 Dakar bikes. How many of us have been begging for a lightweight off road oriented 450 cc ADV bike with enough power for the occasional highway use and a large fuel capacity? We've been told to pound sand for decades.

Hello, I'm from Brazil and in January I bought a Honda Sahara 300. Here in Brazil we don't have many options for trail bikes in this engine range. Even though it doesn't have a water-cooled engine and upside down suspensions, the Sahara 300 is a very well built motorcycle and a great option for those who want a versatile motorcycle that performs well on all types of terrain. Its conventional suspensions have long travel (240mm) with a package that favors agile chassis and an engine with good torque at low speeds and good performance on trips. Congratulations on your channel!

I'd love to buy a 300 Sahara in the US but Honda is protecting its sales of other bikes rather than making a version of the Sahara that meets our safety and emissions regulations, which are mostly meaningless given the mods people do.

I like the arrangement of the 300 Sahara and think it would probably be a better fit here in the U.S. than the CRF300 Rally. It would be a direct competitor to the Royal Enfield Himalayan, and a low-tech and cheaper alternative to bikes the Versys-X 300 or BMW's G310 GS. But I'm a huge fan of the simplicity of an air-cooled engine and still miss the old air-cooled dual-sport and trail bikes of the 80's, 90's and early 00's. If Honda would come out with an air-cooled CRF400 with electric start (basically the old EX400 quad engine minus the reverse gear) I'd be first in line to buy one. Those old 350-400cc air-cooled dual-sport and trail bikes like the XR400, DR350 SE, XT350, etc. of the 1990's were just super good bikes which is why nice clean examples still fetch a premium price in todays used market. Unfortunately now those bikes are at the age where many OEM parts are getting extremely difficult to find.

I have thought about a system similar to yamahas for a couple of years. With the qs up and down moving the gear selector to the bars seem like a natural progression. I dont buy the argumet that changing gears in off road situations could be harder. Maintaining a good foot position in these situations is super helpful and gives your upper body and hands more freedom to be relaxed and move. Why do you think there are thumb brakes for the rear brake? However, i think the Honda e-clutch has an advantage in keepeng the lever giving the rider full freedom to override the system. I think i would prefer a good E-clutch over the Rekluse.

@@chroniclesofsolid A fun bike to be sure, but I found a lot of downers from riding it for a month or two last summer. Once it got all of 104 miles on a 2.8-gallon tank on a pavement/gravel rally outing. The gears are oddly staggered, with awkward 1st-2nd-3rd spacing. Battery should come stock as lithium since it's in a strange place for rear frame loading under stress. Absolutely needs some kind of rear frame support to carry anything. Ergonomics straight out of caveman days. You basically need to spend a chunk of money to turn it into what it should have been from the factory. Many pluses however. On gravel roads and on some kinds of dirt, its Dominator heritage shines. The front suspension is very old-school but is good at soaking up big square hits.

@@Ntmoffi The NX is too heavy, and there are no more X-300's for sale in Europe, so not enough to choose from. Aprilia could have done it already with the new 440 engine, the Norden 501 has been promised and never delivered, Triumph missed a golden opportunity with the 400 class... Disappointing.

How would you steer a unitrack?? Weights are not even close, surely it would weigh at least 600 lbs. and be a pig to handle.

An electric apocalypse bike is an oxymoron. When society collapses there will be no electricity to power charges. We'll be on horses again. 😂

What’s the point of a KTM anymore? When I can get a CFMoto… esp if you’re in a rush. Shame on you KTM.

The ktm is the most succesful rally racer, because the regulations don’t forsee any other bike type, and there hasn’t been a competitor so keen on winning that very specific niche category as ktm was desperate to establish, and maintain such category. It’s like saying there hasn’t been a more successful flat-tracker in the indian FTR category than the Indian FTR. Ridiculous for someone with a historic context view. A gentleman’s adventure bike, wow, more BS marketing statements. Fluff-Puff-Blower. MV talk without experiencing it, but snitching snippets of information fro other sites, anyway a strategy of this poser in his channel. And talking about things he doesn’t know at all, as they don’t exist and so trying spinning speculation wheels from an irrelevant position on the social market.

I’m guessing you’re American? Queens English uses orientated. Then there was that little tea party 🎉 and the USA developed its own branch of the English dialect 👍 Either is accepted but outside of the USA, amongst the colonies, orientated is the preferred term 👍
