Totally agree. I work at a MB dealer in the US and we have had zero interest in this car. This car is a huge flop

The perfect storm…Mercedes decides to “shove” a 4 cylinder into the C63 at the time that BMW absolutely nails the M3/M4 models .

Extra power only for a few seconds, then you just have a heavy car without ''extra'' performance :)

because it is a crappy 4 cylinder... You did the right thing. I stick with my 6,2 Liter C63 from 2014 :D

As a former Mercedes HQ employee, I’m not shocked by the sales especially at that price point! The C63 occupied a very special place in the hearts of customers and fans. Mercedes’ premium strategy and the rush to run an SL and AMG GT on the market together has caused them to sacrifice the C63. This car should have been a C53 at a cheaper price point.

The old 63 engine was legendary. But now the BMW M3 competition is the benchmark in this segment and Mercedes can't come close with this 4 cylinder/hybrid variant.

I've had 3 Mercs including a C63 and I have zero sympathy for them. In the rush to go hybrid they failed to do any basic market research and expected the cachet 'C63' would encourage enthusiasts to buy one. Other manufacturers apparently have more sense and realise that buyers who are used to V8s or V6s still want them. Even Mercedes have realised their mistake and stuck a mild hybrid V6 in the new coupe model. Why on earth didn't they put this engine in the C63 if they had to mess with it?? Doubling down by insisting no return to V8 for the C63 will not help them either. I now have an M2......

don't buy it. Will be impossible to sell. They have already reduced the prices for these in Sweden and everyone still gets the M3/M4 instead.

I don't know WHY mercedes went with that awful hybrid engine? They put a V8 in their new 2024 GT 63 2 Door Coupe. So why not put a V8 in the C63? It makes no sense? Also there is way too much tech in the C63 enhine wise that will all inevitably GO WRONG sooner or later and when the warranty runs out then you can forget about it!!!! I knew it was going to flop and it has.

I’m happy you canceled your order. I have zero interest in the new C63 which is such a shame. The power is incredible but it’s also very heavy and very complicated. I loved the pervious generation C63 and the W204. The v8 is part of the soul of the C63. I’m ok with the A class getting a 4 cylinder because it never had a V8 to begin with but to take out the soul of the C63 and make it overly complicated when it didn’t need to be is disappointing. The one thing I am happy about is that it looks the part, better than the M3 at least.

I’m not sure what the fuss is about the price. Yes it looks high initially but once you realise it is essentially very close to the final price since there are so few options then it is directly comparable to an M3 Touring. I have just taken delivery of the latter at £102K and that’s without the Ultimate Pack. I have been an AMG nut and have owned 6 since my first in 2008 and continue to own my Black Series but this version is lost on me, giving me everything I don’t want or need whilst taking away simple things like boot capacity (350 litres for the estate is less than an A Class!). Unfortunately the M3 simply delays the inevitable when cars like the new C63 are as good as it gets but I’ll kick that can down the road as long as I can. AMG went from a brand all about emotion to one with none at all in the space of a single model change. Crazy.

Definitely the right choice Archie. With their V8 being such a major point of Benz "63" series, how could they make such a mistake? Surely they must realise how a car sounds and performs >90mph is so much more important than at double those speeds.

im a BMW fanboy ,the new c class design is just BEAUTIFUL but the 4 cylinder still traumatises me. We all love speed but whats speed with out the pops and bangs ,Mercedes should have NOT taken out the V8

Totally agree Archie. For anyone buying this, you have to ask questions on when it comes to selling it. How much are you doing to lose on the resale value?? If it’s already lost nearly 40k off list price then can’t imagine what it’ll be like in 12 to 24 months time. This just isn’t a c63 in my mind. Surely do a v6 hybrid if you need to go down the hybrid route or do Bentleys amazing cutting off cylinders technology with hybrid maybe. There’s got to be something better than a 2 litter petrol hybrid system

What a shame. I actually think its a good looking car. The engineers even said they could have kept the v8. If they put their 4.0 v8 into this rather handsome but kinda subtle package I think it would have won alot of buyers over from the g80 m3 and its big grille.

G80 interior is still far superior, as of recent Mercedes C class has god awful shiny black cheap plastic interior, everything moves, creaks and bends. The feel of it all reminds me of a £10 Aldi toaster or kettle.

They should have just done a 750 bhp v8 twin turbo . Lighter faster more trunk space less tech to go wrong and an option of 4x4

Good man for calling out these piss take prices, they’re all at it!! The buyers market has set the value in the current climate and it’s high time they all realised it’s cannot carry on.

The problem as I see it: Yes people are upset about the engine, but for guys who like modifying their cars, I would wager AMG has already pushed that 2.0 litre pretty hard, so theres not much delta there with basic stage 2 + tune. What will be the gains realized from an Intake, downpipes, exhaust, intercooler, & tune, maybe 520WHP-530WHP. I dont know much about AMG engines, but I would imagine this is the same engine they use in the CLA45s, but if they use bigger turbos & injectors, then perhaps the gains will be a bit higher than a stage 2 45s. 500WHP-550WHP would not be enough for it compete with a stage 2 G80CXD. However, if by chance AMG did use a bigger turbo & injectors, and IF.... IF you can squeeze about 600WHP out of it(reliably) than maybe it could compete with the much lighter Mmachine. Before I would purchase one, I would want to know more about the engine and how its different from the CLA 45s. Comparatively a G80CXD with downpipes, intake, midpipe, & custom E40 map will add 200WHP & 200lbs(720WHP & 700lbs total) and give you a 9.7-9.8 1/4 mile car, that also likely handles much better on track & backroads. AMG will be releasing a AMG GT E performance soon with 800HP. Much more expensive, but still has the V8 bit, so Stage 2 on that car will turn it into a beast. Certainly a car im interested in.

They can carry on producing ice vehicles for many more years. AMG's are horrendous for depreciation, this pile of shite won't even leave the production line. My last Merc was the E63s Amg V8 BiTurbo and its the last Merc I bought. I am not buying a trash 4 cylinder that make no sound for 105K........

The hybrid system also eats ALOT into boot space, it's even compromised as a daily

Previous generation of C63s or E63s would be my target if I was looking for a Mercedes, but no doubts if I could afford it I would buy any BMW G8X model, insane power and handling people say…

Can’t say I’m surprised you cancelled your order, nobody wants to buy a car that’s tanking.i know all (well, the huge majority) of new cars tank the most money within the first driv3 home from the dealer after collection, but you’d hope the hype around a car like the C63 would mean the loss would be minimal, or price would b3 minimise£. Though I always suspected a car that was replacing a great series of V8’s with a battery and a4 cylinder would always tank, and be a let down to driv3 to boot.

I used to have a w204 6.2 and I loved it, every time I turned it on it brought a smile to my face! The new w206 is a complete joke. No character and no sound, + costing over a 100,000 is just stupid, the only thing they got right was the steering wheel! No thanks amg il switch to bmw for a new car

At this point the legs have fell off the whole Mercedes AMG C/E63 series.... they've killed the legacy of what were awesome cars. Can't even be bothered to explain my comment reasons, it's all there for people to see...Who is making decisions at Mercedes, heads need to roll.....At least BMW are still making efforts to keep the legacy alive with their M Division..

Other manufacturer's have managed to keep 6 and 8-cylinder performance vehicles while maintaining compliance to the latest regulations - why can't Mercedes who already have a huge portfolio of EVs and hybrids to keep their average emissions numbers down, maintain the 4.0L in more cars? Kind of a rhetorical question but yea...should have kept my W205 C63...oh well, looks like they're cheap to buy back haha

Not sure what everyone is getting upset about ... I test drove one the other day and loved it .. yes it's a bit different .. but that's the new age and it impressed me .. I currently own and daily an F90 M5 have a Civic type r on order and ready to collect .. might consider swapping it out for the m5 soon ...

The C63 was all about getting that massive engine from much more expensive models shoe horned into a c class. Was a muscle car as a lot of the power was not accesible. But people loved it for that very reason. It was fun loud and rraucous. Now, it offers nothing over the M3. Even a simple tune on the BMW will give you more power if thats the bragging rights you desire. Good luck tuning the c63se electric hy rid engine . The m3 platform is incredible for tuning enthusiasts. There are m3s in the low 9s and vids on youtube. C63 Should have been a v8 or at least a v6 with awd and same interior as new car. They would have sold loads of them. MB killed their loyal customer base instantly with this car. Very sad indeed.

I'm not amazed and don't remember any hype. All my memories of the reveal and test drives were of everyone saying it would flop because of the engine, the weight, and the expected price.

680hp is the peak output, constant peak output is only around 570hp, and it weighs more than 2.1 tons
