I had a jack up and till a month ago. He died . He was 18 years old. I had him from 6 weeks old . He was my little boy. He was stuck to my right leg all those years. He followed me everywhere. At night time he would go out side for a pee as l left the back door open every nite. When he came back ,he always looked around the bedroom door to see that l was there. Then he would go straight back to bed. He just wanted to know l was there. If l was awake l would say hi stimp see you in the morning mate. I cry every day, l miss him so much, he was my little boy.

My old lab, who waa roughly 10 years old at the time, when I had to have my wisdom teeth surgically removed in my early twenties, and in excruciating pain as a result, constantly stared at me and wouldn't leave my side for three days, except to eat and go outside to do his business, but every time, he would hurry back in and come lay next to me on the couch and would never leave my side, not until I seemed a bit better to where I was able to get up and move around, but until then, he was right by my side. He was frankly one of the best dogs I ever had. I miss him to this day, and when I think of him, I wish I had a time machine just so I could go back and have one more day to spend with him.

It’s a blessing dogs are so cool I’m not religious but I always thought that if there was a God he or she was in a really good mood when they made dogs. I have never given dogs scraps at the table it’s so undignified. Dogs actually really like me without me having to bribe them.

oh, they can! Guess who found out I had cancer 3 years ago (gone now luckily!): my dog! She stepped on top of my stomach and I screamed "AAOO!!!" and pushed her away, then she did it again and again, until I realised there was something wrong and I went to the doctor. There is science now proving that dogs can actually smell cancer. Unbelievable

Dog stare at you because you are supposed to be the leader dog that gives directions to them. When you give no directions or create no order--- it confuses the heck out of the dog and they simply sit and look at you waiting to be told what to do

My Rottweiler stares at me non stop. He has to be touching me at all times

I have had my rescue Chihuahua/terrier since he was one year old. He is now six. 11 pounds of energy and love. He communicates by staring, talking to me, whining, pawing and standing near what he wants. He’s a very good communicator and has figured me out, and I him. He watches me intently looking for direction. He goes everywhere with me. The depth of feelings and connection I have with my little buddy amazes me.

Yes, two reasons why MY dog stares at me either 1) Are you sure you want to do that? I really don’t think it’s a good idea. OR 2) What are you waiting for Miss? I’m hungry/ need a walk/ have to go out/ you’re in my seat/ where’s my snack?/Where’s my hug? Guess which one it is and behave appropriately.😂 I enjoyed the video.❤

The reason my dog stares at me is because he wants treats. It's a long story but this dog would never look you in the eye and there is a game you can play using small pieces of treats to overcome that. Now it's not only a stare but mental telepathy - stare (saying give me treats, give me treats, give me treats). Other dogs may say something else but his main stare and he will hold this stare for very long periods of time.

My dear rat terror (cough, cough, I mean, terrier) has one "look" for guilt tripping and another for when he wants to go out but he pairs the look with turning in circles

The German shepherd is probably an exception to such long stares - they are real Gaurd dogs

My Jack Russell stares at me when we're in an elevator on our mobility scooter. I'll look down and she's looking up at me as the lift descends. I'll give her a pat and then we're off on another adventure.

Thank you for not making me feel bad for finding the behavior creepy. 😵‍💫 I love my Boston but he is a chronic starer. It bothers me, Ngl. It can go on for hours without a break. I'm an extreme introvert so having an audience 24hrs/day is kind of traumatizing for me. I love him, I take extremely good care of him, but the staring has crossed the line. I clicked on this video to see if I could understand him better and thankfully, now I do. I can show him different ways to communicate his needs and hopefully we can find a happy medium

Dogs are supernaturals.i had a jack russel and she were sterilized On the Thursday she were start getting a heavy swollen stomach.On the Friday before the Vet closes she came up to me with no emotions at all Just staring at me deep in my eyes and something told me with a spirit Please Dad Help me?? So i took het to the Vet.Result. falure of organs and were put down...Till Today i see that tearfull eyes of my Jack Russel.i Loved he so much.RIP My little Mia ❤❤❤

I'm retried and my BC is with me 24/7. She probably stares at me 10 hrs a day. If we aren't hiking, playing fetch or frisbee, or training she is sleeping or staring. Couldn't love her more.

My little Pomchi knows I have panic attacks. I usually "freeze up" and she knows this. She comes up on my lap and puts her paw on me and won't take her eyes off me. If this happens while I'm standing up, she lies down on the floor by my feet and just stares. I think she's trying to comfort me or making sure I'm ok. ❤

I was going to say sometime. But majority of the time when my dog is just relaxing he would just sit or lay and stare at me for the longest time while i pretend im not noticing. We would have staring contest and he would win most of the time. Id tell him he's too obsessed with me. Honestly, he makes me very happy. Sometime he stop half way while hes chewing his bully stick and check on me to see if im still sitting around the room somewhere and if i catch him while hes staring we make eye contact and its just something in his eyes that shows me how much he love me.

When my uncle would come to visit, my dog Abby would wake him up and lead him to the fridge. I would catch them at the fridge, with the door open and my Uncle asking her what she wanted. More or less he explained that she wouldn't let him sleep until he gave her something good from the fridge. My other dog would steal food off the table, but was careful to leave everything undisturbed, and only go after food after some had been eaten by us. I remember so many times coming back to my plate and being surprised that I'd finished my steak or hot dog, when i thought there were a few bites left. Once cleaning my closet, I moved some totes of clothes, and found dozens of food wrappers hidden behind it.

I've raised boxers many Yr's ago raised trained and bred them people loved my dog's they were mostly a deep mohgany and potty trained along with many other tricks and behavior for indoors they have to be kept indoors... Of course.. Mine all lived for longer than they should a lot longer.. Last one I had was a male reverse brindle 14 yrs of age pretty unheard of. I have a Catacahoula now name Thea I I understand her and she does me I've worked with animals my entire life.... Dog's birds cats horse's.. This is off the subject, but i live near Sacramento,Ca, and at the end of the year, before they clean the pools at recreation centers for kids, they allow dog's to come swim on a Saturday for 4 hours only 5 dollars to get in. Check to see if your city has that event. Pretty fun. Another random thing is i bought an RC car for my Husky and Jack Russell, and they love chasing it and great exercise. Yes, they'll bite at it, that's why i bought a used one, lol. Maybe even a drone.

I`ve occasionally watched the times when dogs were so much better at Human body language than people were at using ... Human body language. Dog trainers know this and use it for training. Recognizing and using body language in a social setting is a necessary skill when your brain isn`t set-up for vocalization and you want to stay in the pack.
