@@Catholicspeaker another good analogy to use is, when Jesus declared to the Jews, that he was God, they became extremely bitter and angry. Because to the Jews, Jesus did not look like God, our Lord looked just like an ordinary man.

You pretty much said my exact sentiments. Life long Catholic and believer in the Real Presence, but Ken presented this in a way that opened my eyes and my heart even more. (I thought I’d heard it all.). And yes, this is a keeper, and I will file it away to come back to and share. Viva Cristo Rey!

Wonderful perfect visions of the Eucharist. Thank you Ken. I'm going to let my 13 year old grandson listen to this. He questions me nearly every Sunday about Holy Communion. Thank you Ken, and yes, Sr. Lucy, which was my spiritual director then quoted that scripture to me one time, Blessed are they that don’t see, yet believe. In 1988 the miracle of the sun happened in that year of August. I was kind of disappointed because I didn’t see the sun spin and turning into different colors. She stated that scripture to me because in that year we had gone to Lubbock, Texas on August 1988 when the miracles were taking place to these three visionaries at a St. Newman Church and the visionary said that the Blessed mother Mary was going to leave a sign. A group of us were there on August 15th. 1988 and miracles started to happen just like in Medjugorje in 1988 right after the second reading during mass, and they were officiating mass on top of the roof of the church, because it was jampacked of people, and that’s when the miracle of the sun started happening and people started seeing miracles happening in the sky and I saw people started kneeling in a prayer position looking up at the sun, some people said that their rosaries turn into gold, other people saw the blessed mother, holding Jesus in her arms in the sky. Out of all people I was afraid to look up, because everybody was looking up that sky. I was 25 years then now I’m 65, so then. I turned around from where I was because I was behind the church and couldn’t see anything as I then looked up at the sky everything was already finishing up by then. I then looked at the sky and I could see the sun kind of yellow, green, and gray then turned into a cream color, but the miracle for me was that I was seeing the sun with my bare eyes by that time my pupils would already be burned and gone blind. Then I turned to my left and saw a dove formed in a cloud! Ken, that was the miracle for me. And you know what the Lord told me then within myself? He said to me kind of stern, “ I don’t have to show you anything, you know who’s number one in your heart, so get on the ball and get with it.” By that time the sun came back as usual and people were amazed at what has happened. Some people were healed from being blind and had their sight restored, a person in the wheelchair started walking, which I was told by someone there, so Ken, that’s why Sr. Lucy told me that scripture of what just happened to me. John 6:51-58 is the most explicit statement Jesus makes about eating His flesh and drinking His blood.

If the bread is transformed into the real body of Christ, why does the church permit Gluten free /low gluten hosts to be used? If a person had true faith they would believe that there is no gluten in the consecrated host as it is now the flesh of Jesus and no longer bread and would not need a gluten free host. I really struggle with this. The Catholic Church does not help itself by allowing such hosts.

Why should Jesus hide spiritually??

so it is a sort of economic exchange that we perform with God?

Everything is an economic exchange. He gives it to us, and we return it. He then blesses us for it. Like when a father gives his daughter a penny and then asks her to return it for a glass of lemonade and a hug. She offers it back, and she is rewarded more than she knows. If you don't understand how we are offering ourselves back to God, there is more to learn.

@davidesteller @davidesteller according to Thomas Aquinas, real love is wanting the genuine best for someone. Sometimes the genuine best is not to just give them free stuff. And of course, like Jacob, sometimes we need to wrestle with God.

Is it real flesh and real blood? are we to be cannabils?

Let's add another reason: To keep us from having to consume something that tastes like actual flesh and blood.
