Yeah, and sometimes he looks like with this dude without the mullet, they did some shitty rendering that looked like Bruce Willis (short teaser for DNF with the weight lifting), sometimes Duke looks like Michael Dudikoff, he's a mixture of the 90's action heroes and they couldn't settle on just 1 look.

Nope, just a really good use of system limitations. Greys are super light to produce and all the lighting effects appear to be apart of the mesh. It very much could have been done in 88 and is a testament to how "less is more"

God, i remember this film. Think I watched it on daytime TV in maybe 1995, or a few years either side of that. Had no idea it was called "They Live". Some of the acting is funny because it's very basic and flat.

Yes it was similiar but the original idea came from john carpenters they live but yes it is very samiliar i love the original punisher still have that on vhs and duke nukem collection as well but also rowdy roddy piper was the original idea for duke nukem and the movie was way before the game years.

This guy is NOT the inspiration for Duke Nukem. I saw "They Live", and while it was intriguing, it was really mediocre. The action scenes seemed too drawn out, and there weren't that many. Besides, the only badass line in the movie is the Bubblegum line. The main character is barely considered a badass.
