AF66 Just got sucked into trying to keep up with Nash. Easy +1 for the nine holes with just 3-4 different decisions for Adam. 90% of scratch golfers not going to be within 2 shots of Nash over these 9 holes.

Love your videos! I’m no expert by any means, I’m a 55 year old 7 handicap, I was a 2 at 30 years old, however, the difference I see is his swing is just better therefore his misses are better. Your swing is so flat you are very prone to thin shots because of your attack angle. That being said, you are a fantastic golfer, with the skill-set you have, and are much better than 95% of the rest of the world. It’s really hard to break 80 for 95% of golfers.

I notice that every time I upload a vid where Nash goes a few under thru 9, he gets a ton of praise in the comments. But every time he shoots even or a handful over par on 9 holes (has happened before and will happen again), a few naysayers show up in the comments insisting that he's not a scratch. Funny stuff.

Adam, Your driving distance average was 256 yds, and all but one drive was in the fairway. Did you have any penalty strokes ? No matter how much we work on our short games, VERY FEW of us have that kind of distance and accuracy off the tee. So I think your premise/suggestion "How do we attack the course if we're not a scratch golfer?", or that most people can shoot low scores by keeping it simple, or limiting mistakes, is a bit misleading. As an aside: I think if your work on your short irons and short game, you'll be a scratch golfer.

Regardless of handicap index, sometimes it's fun to tee it forward to challenge yourself to go low. Sometimes it's nice to be social by joining your playing partners where they're comfortable (like Nash did in this case). Sometimes the weather conditions dictate teeing it forward or back, etc. Just my $0.02.

If everyone of his rounds were played at TPC Sawgrass, from the tips, he'd still be 3 or 4 shots away from a tour player. In reality, he probably averages 74.5 per round and he has a handful of under par rounds and a bunch of 72 & 73s, to make up his top 8 of 20. Tour pros don't get to have 12 bad rounds that don't count. Comparing ams to pros with using HCs is an effort in futility. He's still a great player. Better than 99.97% of players on Earth, but the gap between him and the 150th ranked PGA tour pro could be measured in lightyears.

Hey It’s Nash from the video, agree with everything you guys are saying, if anything you guys are being too nice. One of my buddies plays on the canadian tour (so two steps away from the big leagues!) and when we play he routinely beats me by 4-6 shots easy - thats at least 20 shots over a 4 day tourney. It’s tough for me to express how insanely good the guys on tour are, at most levels. At best I could be a decent playing club pro, but i certainly dont have the short game or the stones to compete on any of the tours where you can make a living doing so! Just my two cents!
