Every race last year the commentator's all said the same thing " Alonso has not put a wheel wrong, hes doing an outstanding job". " he's making the car faster than what it actually is".

@@dougjudy5352 They also tried in Monza to get him up in qualifying with a slipstream until his ARB broke. Not to mention the countless times Massa let him through while ahead. Alonso was still mighty though.

Alonso is by far, the most complete driver in history.

To put in flawless performances race after race with a car that had no business winning... only Fernando could do that. Alonso may have lost the title, but he won our hearts because he fought till the end. No doubt the best season of any driver I have ever witnessed.

Te best in the HISTORY

During those years people praised Vettel when most of the times he was on pole and drove into the distance. But I think as the years go by those years will be remembered for Alonso's incredible performances. Many drivers can take the fastest car and win races but it takes something special to drive a slower car with a lot more competition and still come on top of your rivals most of the times. Its usually mentioned the stats of most wins and poles and you'd get the false impression that some drivers are better than others. A stat that's usually overlooked is how many wins vs poles a driver has and that's where Alonso shines, 22 times on pole vs 32 wins (so far) which is unbelievable and should be more talked about. That gives a perspective of how good he really is. Some of those wins starting in positions where you wouldn't expect a driver to win. Vettel however has less wins than poles (which is the usual) and never won starting further than 3rd. And never showed Alonso's racecraft when he didn't have the fastest car. As the years passed and Alonso keeps impressing to this date, it became clear that Vettel was never close to Alonso's level

Seb would have maybe won 3 or 4 races across those 4 seasons. Seb heavily proffited from the RedBull because he has somewhat of a video game driving style where he just throws the car into a corner and the car will do the job. He was lucky RedBull was planted to the road. Fast forward to his Ferrari days and he spins especially how crap ferrari was in 2020 Leclerc destroyed him. He can't drive well with the nervouse car. Drivers like Alonso and Schumi adapted to their car every time..

Vettel scored more points in near equal machinery. Therefore, he deserved the title. Vettel didn't choke when it mattered, Alonso did. It was only the worse reliability of the Red Bull that even allowed Alonso to be in the title hunt in the first place.

Vettel is great when the car is exactly how he wants it to be. If it isn't he gets frustrated and drives sloppy. Anyway, 2012 should've been Alonso's season. I've never seen anyone drive as consistently brilliant throughout a season as Alonso did in 2012. Sadly, in a couple of years, that will probably be forgotten as he only got second...

That's it... THE BEST Driver in the world

2012 was by far the best season I've ever seen. There were 9 different race winners.. this season there were only 3! And yes, you can't deny that Alonso had the pace to challenge Vettel in a much better car. But does this make him the "real" Champion? Vettel has always been one of the most consistent Drivers in F1, and to win a WDC, you also need a good Team! Christian Horner, Adrian Newey, all the other race engineers of RBR 2012 were extremly good, and they made this victory possible. Plus, Vettel had a teammate not as good as Alonso's, Webber didn't make it easy for him at all! And we mustn't forget the amazing recovery drive at Brazil.. :D

***** Te gondolom akkor magyar vagy, szóval írok így.....Alonsonak is volt balszerencséje, de véleményem szerint Vettelnek több.....2* esett ki vezető helyről, (50 pont) és még többször pontszerzőről...Miközben Alonso mikor kiesett Vettel csak második lett, tegyük fel Spa-ban, és csak egyszer nyert ezen kívül úgy, hogy Alonak volt baja.....Alonso többször nyert úgy, hogy az RB hibás volt, szerintem ez nagy előny volt neki! Az viszont tény és való, hogy Alonso nélkül ez a Ferka nem lett volna itt!!! De, hogy Vettelt se becsüljük le, lássuk csak a Brazil nagydíjat! people always forget that mechanical failure are the teams fault so you cant say vettel would have won 2012 by like 50 points cuz those retirements were redbull's fault. its a team sport

Let's not forget, Red Bull also have Adrian Newey as chief designer. He's won championships at EVERY team he's been at. He won't be there forever, I can't wait for the day he leaves RB tbh. It'll even up the playing field.

Now vettel is beaten by Ricciardo! Hilarious! I bet he wants the exhaust blown diffusers back. He got lucky in 2012. Had romain not caused that crash at spa and Kimi hit his rear tire in Japan vettel would be a crying bitch in Brazil. And schumi helping him by letting him overtake. At least Michael felt what Rubens felt for 5 years. Now he thinks he can do a schumi at ferrari. Mark did all his setup and development work. I love how Infiniti gives him credit for developing road cars when he can't develop shit. It all goes back to formula 3 when his teammates started doing all his set up work. Does he expect Kimi to do it next year, he's got another thing coming. Marco loves Kimi more than Fernando so I doubt Kimi will be playing marks role at ferrari. 2013 was his last championship and he knows it.

How long have you been watching F1? Michael Schumacher put on amazing drives in 1997 and 1998 and 2000 that were like Fernando's 2012. I think Schu's 1998 was his finest driving season of all time. Much like Fernando's 2012.

Guys Alonso clearly should have won 2012 but you see , Vettel is also a really good driver too , be fair and stop saying that he won cause he has a better car or is lucky , I know that gives him a advantage but winning 4 years in a row with luck ? Thats clearly impossible , with no skills thats something no one can achieve , but since RED BULL was able to make such a great car , isn't that their special skill? I too feel that sometimes Vettel is annoying cause I LOVE HAMILTON and cause of a slow mercedes , always get overtaken but be fair , since he did win , it all comes down to skills too .

Red bull 2010-2014 had so much better car than ferrari and thats it.. Alonso fight like a lion but he needed a little bit of luck. Deserved a title with ferrari

Yes but, F1 has proven that in the past that drivers who try and win world championships in uncompetitive cars get what they deserve. Vettel did not try, it just happened and Red Bull found something that gave them the edge. Fernando Battled all season long and all 3 of his wins were both deserved and fantastic. Whereas Vettel could not win from anything other than pole position, Alonso could. In my eyes he is the modern Senna and will get what he deserves this year and in the future...
