Hey, the average person wouldn't even be in the gym if they were / had been as sick as you. The fact that you're in there moving 100lb, 200+lbs is pretty crazy! Try to not let the "low" numbers frustrate you, since you're inspiring your audience and definitely people at your gym by continuing to show up and put in the work. Hope you get fully recovered soon! WSM 2022? ;-)

Brian, I have been following you for a while now, and you have really pushed my brother and I to seek out gyms like yours in our area (Lafayette, LA) because we are 100% in on your training method. I also have my own medical condition that I struggle with so seeing your perseverance and tenacity through all of it and just grinding on has helped me many a time, so I wanted to thank you for that. Concerning your Lyme Disease, I was wondering if you had ever heard of a medical device called the Rife Machine? My soon-to-be father in law had Lyme and this machine eradicated it completely, as well as one of my close friend’s mother. He and my future sister in law even wrote a thesis on it for school. Essentially, the way it works is that it emits a certain light frequency that matches the frequency of the bacteria strand and kills it. It’s a detox effect, so you have to drink lots of water and do it bit by bit to not overwork your body. Now like you say in your videos, this is what worked for people I know, so I can’t guarantee anything, it’s only a suggestion. And the machine is not cheap. I’m not providing any links or anything to really show that I’m not some salesperson trying to get a couple bucks, just search Rife Machine online and there is a TON of resources. Just trying to help a fellow human out and do the right thing. Keep it up, you’re an inspiration to all us noobs.

I’m a young man. I suffer a wound on one of my legs for over training in martil arts. I past from running 5k every morning, 3 hours of weight training and 2 hours of combat training to don’t be able to walk for 30 minutes without limping and have to take a rest. To my pride, to my sense of self I felt so deeply wounded that some days I continue to ask myself “why I’m stile alive?” “Why I don’t die?” Since that it have being 3 years. Every day for the last 3 years I have put my clothes on and continue to walk, 3 years of feling miserable for all that I have lost. During that time I keep watching your videos, Alan Thralls and AthlenX to keep my going. In this year, 2020, I’m two semester from graduate like a cooker in my home country, after I feel like I have lost everything. Now I can train 5 times a week, stay on my feet 8 o 12 hours cooking, walk for hours and sometimes run. I lost all, I’m grateful for being alive. I have 23 years, I’m crying for remembering the last three years. I cannot lift to much, I cannot run to much, but I can keep training because I’m alive and that it’s more than enough. Thank you sir for all that you have done, when I grown old I want to be like you. And for the other people who read this: always are going to be hard times, but you have to put your shoes on and keep walking, one step after the another.

Still getting smoked but enjoying the feeling full body. 10 minutes Deadlift Overhead Press Squat and Kettlebell Farmer's Walk. Can feel improvement so thank you for the inspiration on that. Keep going Brian.

Hm.... Maybe the issue is that the log is too stiff? It can't flex, since it's so wide around. Maybe you could do something like taking a multigrip pull-up bar and duct tape the hell out of it to an earthquake bar? Just try to find the shortest multigrip that you can, so it doesn't dampen the middle of the earthquake bar so much.

Hey Brother, If you want to attack the pin front squats, maybe look at using an SSB bar. Would have to adjust your pins accordingly but the surface area of the bar is more forgiving. Just food for thought. Keep getting after it brother!

  • @Je0524

Bamboo bar OHP, that will get the instability your looking for especially when you add 2 or more kettlebells or even some smaller plates because they eventually smack into each other. Then its extremely difficult to control. Goodluck!

Justin Epifano I would like to see an experiment with short Average bands (black) off the log with chains below it. The neutral grip handles and nature of the log makes the bamboo bar a bad option, even though it’s normally perfect as you mentioned.
