The iconic red London phone boxes are known around the world and have held up well over the years due to their cast iron construction. But did you know there is one place where you can see the OLDEST phone box of the k2 series that is made of wood? Check this out - the original prototype k2 phone box. K2 being kiosk #2.

I didn’t see one on the main side of Earls court station but what I did see was even better. A Dr. Who replica police call box in blue. Just like the show. It is awesome…. Go check it out

Yep - They have a Tardis just outside a tube station. I’ll have to video it.
Can you tell what colour the crown inset is Travel Time? Black or dark blue?

Ok, I went back and looked at the prototype K2 phone box (I think that is the one you are asking about). It has no inset. It is a gold painted crown with holes in the box thus it is neither blue or black. I made a video close up for you today. You can see it here - > kzread.info/dash/bejne/dWZrt9uaka_Tf9o.html
They could not destroy the old ones. Put them on a budget land with tree and out side lavies. Use em for homeless. Yeah,. It's doable use C. C. Cameras for security. Use trained homeless as Stewards. For clean up care. And guards. Etc etc. ☎️📵
