I was brainwashed with 8 years of Catholic Elementary School. No Bible Study, Never heard of The Rapture till The tV Series of the 80's. Recently having being saved I am grateful for your expertise Dr. Andy!

Dr Andy Woods - He is the real deal folks! He knows the Truth! Ponder this thought, If you are born again, sins washed away by the blood of Lord Jesus Christ and spirit-filled, the Holy Spirit dwelling inside you and who is the one who guides us in learning the truth as we read it in the Holy Bible. How can you misinterpret the Truth? If you truly are a Christian who has the Holy Spirit in you, then you would not be trying to tear down a truthful doctrine unless you are not really saved. The TRUTH is the Truth no matter how wrongful pastors try to discredit it.

Exactly - As Amir Tsarfati said, the devil wouldn't be attacking the pre-trib Rapture so hard if it wasn't true! - He WANTS people to think they have lots of time yet - he wants them to be caught napping (fallen asleep) - How on earth could Jesus say He would come like a thief in the night - at a time nobody expected Him - unless it's PRE the Tribulation! All the believers would have to do would be to count exactly three & a half years from the time the peace treaty is broken to know the time Jesus raptures them if the Rapture is post Trib.!!

This teaching is spot on! The Left Behind series are what led me to Christ.

It is very True, I got hooked on the pre-tribulation rapture after reading the Left Behind Series. God bless them for writting and publishing them Now I am waiting for the Lord Jesus Christ to come take me, my family and friends in the rapture. Hallelujah

The possible deception in that movie series lies in an obvious lack of understanding 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 because in fact NONE of left behind self-appointed "Christians" will turn to Jesus AFTER the rapture.

The Earth is God’s footstool and it is reserved for fire. There’s waters above and waters below. The catching away is not only our blessed hope, it’s our only hope.

@@brendac4283 Christ and Paul speak of Christ's return for the church (Christ in the upper room and Paul in Thessalonians). This return is clearly different from Christ's return to start the kingdom which can be found throughout various passages in Scripture. Christ's return to start the kingdom is what is commonly referred to as "The Second Coming" which is not the rapture.

abc Actually, the phrase “2nd Coming” is not found anywhere in the Bible. But Hebrews 9:28 does say, “Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will APPEAR A SECOND TIME, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.” We know this is the resurrection/rapture. But this time of Jesus’ appearing when the resurrection/rapture occurs also is referred to as the *COMING* (which is the Greek word *PAROUSIA* #3952) in many places. When you look at all the Bible verses where Jesus and the apostles talk about the *COMING* and the resurrection/rapture that happens at that time, there should be no denying that the r/r happens **AFTER** the tribulation (like Jesus himself stated in Matthew 24). It’s the only way to translate it that makes any sense! I wrestled and wrestled with that passage because the pressure that Paul builds falls apart when it comes to the “apostasy” term. The emphasis in 1 Thessalonians is on the rapture and on the church being exempt from God’s judgement. Then in 2 Thessalonians he expands on that teaching to answer the “shaken in mind” young church who were being wrongly taught by false teachers that they were IN the Day of the Lord. If you try to insert a reference to a spiritual apostasy in there it is just jarring on the flow and theme of both letters.

Exactly! The KJV translators departed from the Textus Receptus. The TR does NOT contain the words “a falling away,” but the words “departure,” Greek hee apostasia. Thus the verse actually reads: “ Let no man deceive you by any means; for that Day (of the Lord) shall not come except the departure come first.” Our English word apostasy is not an exact equivalent of the Greek apostasia. Our word means: rebellion; revolt. But apostasia means departure -nothing more. Apostasia occurs only once in the New Testament: Acts 21:21, where it’s rendered “forsake.“ Even here, “depart“ would have been a better synonym. Paul was merely pointing out they were free from the law and should depart from it -not revolt or rebel against Moses. The fatal mistake the translators made was in failing to take into consideration the definite article before the word Apostasia. The article denotes previous reference- the wording clearly implies a familiar topic, an event about which the reader already knew, yes the Apostle’s very theme!

Correct on every teaching, thank you for teaching a literal Bible lesson , NOT EISEGESIS BUT EXEGESIS. YOU are always consistent in teaching the BIBLE.

I have to wonder, if we are the "Bride of Christ"; why would He allow His bride to suffer the horrible events of the tribulation and then rescue her? It fits beautifully into the pre-trib belief you so eloquently put forth.

Can't tell you how much I appreciate all your teachings Dr Andy - I'm learning so much. Regarding a verse which I feel is often misrepresented - Matthew 24:36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. (KJV) Jesus is speaking in the PRESENT tense because he had laid aside His glory to live with us on Earth. In John 17:5 Jesus says "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was." So now that the risen Christ is in Heaven with the Father, His glory has been restored to Him and He DOES know when He is coming back again.

This was excellent! Yes, Rick Wiles is no longer hiding his anti semitism. I actually wrote to him about it 15 years ago and of course got no answers. What I see in all of these people who snidely reject the pre trib blessed hope is #1 they are vecoming increasingly Catholic in their doctrine, and #2 they are fulfilling Jesus's parable of the servant who said: 'my master is delaying' and begins to beat his fellow servants. I love long teachings. They are perfect for my treadmill work out!

My family is from Trinidad! Never been myself, but I still have lots of aunties and cousins who live there. I sure could use a nice shrimp roti right about now...been too long :) And where I live now those types of dishes are nowhere to be found. But I did get my hands on some tamarind the other day and made some nice spicy sweet tamarind balls. Yum! I am waiting for the Lord with you. But I don’t agree that the pretrib rapture doctrine is true. Jesus comes after the tribulation, just like he says in Matthew 24. Please take some time to study why pretrib is contrary to God’s Word. So many are growing weary now and many will fall away as things become way more difficult and the love of people grows cold, just like Jesus taught. God bless you!

I really appreciate your willingness to speak up and directly address deceptive teachings of various people! The pre-trib pre-millennial rapture view is the ONLY one that is 100% consistent with the whole Bible and with God's character! Chuck Missler said that a person's view of eschatology reveals their hermeneutical approach to Bible interpretation.... Pre trib view tends to interpret the Bible literally. Post trib tends to interpret the Bible more symbolically...

This is a brilliant dissection of the common misconceptions used to dissuade people from believing in the rapture. Most scholars don’t debate that there is a rapture, only at which point it will occur. Unfortunately the failure to rightly divide and/or the allegorizing of the plain text will land you in trouble every time. I really appreciate this teaching as Andy is so adept at pinpointing the theological errors of these people.

Theres nothing to divide there is a rapture its after the tribulation . You can opinionate all you want and say post trib theory is misconception but it doesnt have anything to do with misconception or dividing the word its reading what the word clearly teaches which is that there is a second coming not a pre tribulation rapture . Go read the book of Matthew and see how many times the " Coming" of the son of man is mentioned from chapter 24 through chapter 25 . Including the parable of the virgins pre tribbers use so boldly the last verse says Watch therefore you do not know there hour in which the lord is " COMING " . As in the days of Noah so shall the COMING of the son of man be . Paul in his rapture teaching in thessalonians says those who are alive and remain until the COMING shall be caught up with him in the clouds . They all say COMING . 1st Corinthians 15:52 at the LAST TRUMPET , not the 100th trumpet in the feast that was brought about by someone who couldn't handle the fact we are going through the tribulation . It's the 7th trumpet . The book of revelation is loaded with proof that we will be here as well only the blind do not see , they have to " Divide " the word and claim everything is for the jews . Pre tribulation doctrine is a theory of man it is opinion and can not be proven by scripture.

Theological errors ...rubbish . The saddest part is all these quacks spending months on end in attempt to prove something that isn't biblical instead of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ . If it weren't for that wack job Darby and Scofield the pre trib doctrine wouldn't even be here . Only 1/4 Christians are pre trib as it is , the other 1,350,000,000 Of us dont believe it because it has no scriptural support , especially not the Christians living in countries where they face persecution and death for their belief in Christ . American Christians are spoiled we've never been through squat and aren't ready to endure such persecution . Pre trib is escapism

@@skylightoutdoors7374 Unfortunately the terms you apply to others - especially those of the category of Dr Woods more aptly apply to yourself - If you had studied to the degree he had you would know that Darby did NOT introduce the pre trib view - Rather it was taught by the early church onwards & only suppressed (although not completely) during the dark ages - It was taught again following the Reformation - unfortunately like most you have seen one article regarding Darby & repeat it parrot fashion with no regard as to actual history - You call someone with a doctorate in divinity a 'quack' - which is akin to 'calling your brother a fool' - such a person is in danger of hell according to Jesus - How is it that people are still working when they are raptured if the Rapture occurs post trib when NOBODY would be working - least of all a believer - And who populates the Millennial Kingdom if all believers raptured (& therfore have glorified bodies) post the Tribulation - The Church is not mentioned once in chapters 6-18 of Revelation - Why? - Unless it is no longer on the earth!

I have been guest on Rick's show many times over the years and even guest hosted on a few occasions and stopped when I learned about his vicious anti-Semitic beliefs & vehement, hostile opposition to eternal security & the pre Tribulation rapture. Not sure if he is saved but I see no fruit of the spirit in him at all that would lead me to believe he is especially if he thinks that his "changed life" and good works keeps him saved.

It is SO SIMPLE. What must happen b4 the A.C. appears & the Tribulation begins? The Restrainer 'aka the Holyspirit' must be removed. The Holyspirit lives within each of his children. Jesus SAYS, he will NEVER leave us, NEVER 4sake us. When he goes, WE go , Hallelujah!

The Holy Spirit can't be removed at the start of the tribulation. If that were the case, then no one would be saved during the tribulation because no one is saved without having the Holy Spirit. John 3:5, "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he CANNOT enter into the kingdom of God. Romans 8:9, ..."Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him." 1 Corinthians 12:3, "...and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit." Plus, Mark 13:11 clearly says the Holy Spirit is with believers *during the tribulation* . “Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.”

Indigator Veritatis Paul states in 2 Thessalonians 2:7 that it is a **HE** (or THE ONE) who is restraining and a **HE** who is taken out of the way. Paul does not say “a restraining ACTIVITY.” Instead Paul refers to the actual person...the **HE** or THE ONE ... who restrains and is taken out of the way. - KJV, "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only **HE** who now letteth will let, until **HE** be taken out of the way." - ESV, " For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only **HE** who now restrains it will do so until **HE** is out of the way.” - NIV, “For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but THE ONE who now holds it back will continue to do so till **HE** is taken out of the way.” Additionally, if Paul was referring to the ACTIVITY of the Holy Spirit in this passage as being taken out of the way, it would not be biblical since we know that the activity of the Holy Spirit continues during the tribulation. The Holy Spirit is working inside of believers as described in Mark 13:11.

Paul knew that the Thess people knew who 'the Restrainer was', it was common knowledge. People insist on throwing in their 2 shekels which amount to 2 pieces of rusted tin. Thank you so much. This clears a lot of things up for me. I have only just heard of any non-PreTrib Rapture this last year. It really threw me off, considering that I was raised in a Christian family and have a Christian school education. I was wondering how all of those people my entire life could have been wrong.

I brought up rapture at dinner and was met with counters from all 4 adults defending anything but pre-trib theory. They keep focusing on Anti-Christ instead of the blessed hope. No wonder they want to go off grid.

He taught about both dispensationalism and amillenialism, but made it clear that he disagrees with dispensationalists. Secret rapture. Darby. Popularism from DTS. Wanting to escape. All the usual. I'm disappointed that I can't agree with his view, most of all because I think it means supersessionism. I'm grateful that you've put me on solid ground and I hold strong to my blessed hope.

The "Partial Rapture" theory is rather hilarious, because those who tout that theory obviously believe they're one of the few who will be raptured: they reveal their ignorance about the character of God and the magnitude and integrity of what Jesus accomplished on the cross.

I grew up listening to Hank Hanegraaff. Also read a while back he converted to Greek Orthodox. I am scratching my head how people who know the truth fall away especially to a belief system they know is rooted in paganism. It's beyond belief. But I guess bible foretold of this.

I just heard a video of Hank discussing the rapture, and I was sad to hear him. His view sounded arrogant, and he was very much talking down to people who didn’t understand or remember certain scriptures as having never read the Bible... Love and humbleness wasn’t there. It was alarming and sad. :/

So many churches have not taught these truths about Bible prophesy and the pre-trib Rapture.........ever!Discernment is waning and false teachers are rising ✝️. Apparently you haven't actually studied Mathew 24, 1 Corinthians 15:52, 1 Thessalonians 4, Revelation 2:10 and Revelation 6: 9-17 for yourself and in context. If you had you would have see that all these passages use the exact same language to describe the same event. The Bible explicitly teaches that followers of Yeshua, (Jesus) are to endure, overcome, remain steadfast, trials and tribulations, and testing. Why are the last day Christians so much more worthy to escape these things and not the prophets, the apostles, early church? What about current day believers in the Africa's, the Middle East, China and North Korea who are all suffering greatly and even perishing for their loyalty to Christ? There isn't one calling away called the pre tribulation rapture and a second one for those who survive the great tribulation, that is utter nonsense. Much love and blessings

Dear brother/sister in christ please pray for me. I have finished my chemotherapy for cancer. While undergoing treatment my two daughters moved out suddenly, my mother died, and my wife almost died due to covid. I suffer from anxiety attacks and depression. I suddenly have become an empty nester. I have been crying every day since February 27th the day my eldest daughter left. I am anxious about my situation and feel like i'm not needed anymore. Feel like a senior in an old folks home just waiting for death or the rapture. I'm expected back at work on August 3rd and I am fearful of going back. I have 2.5years before I can get a full pension. Yes. I was thinking about this, and it occurred to me that when Jesus calls us the salt and light of the world, He is describing us in two ways as restrainers: salt restrains the decay and putrefying of flesh, and light restrains darkness. Through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in us, we restraint death, decay and darkness! Praise God for His abundant love toward us!

All the trust in Jesus shall never be disappointed! I am a pre tribber and will not be swayed I will hold fast to the word of God..God has not appointed us to wrath! That's what it means to be saved, being saved from the wrath of God to come.

The partial rapture teachers I have heard teach only those who are actively in ministry will be raptured. One such is Perry Stone who teaches a rapture that requires works.

P.S Rick Wiles said on his channel I bought over $15,000 worth of food for my employees and I did it for God....when God says don't say what your hand gives, and he also then said I know that my watchers will call in for an offering to help me pay for that credit card bill that will be coming in. WOW! So he never did it out of the kindness of his heart he did it to get praise and then to get more money from watchers. May God have mercy on him.

I'd love it if the rapture was pre-trib.. The evils of this world have me dealing with bad depression over the last month or so.. I just think God might want us to deal with some of the trib though to strengthen His Church (gut feeling).. Hope I'm wrong.. I pray I'm wrong every day.. God bless

Legionary Stay encouraged. The rapture of the church happens before the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Israel, not His Church), and the Word of God teaches that it happens this summer. Don’t trust your gut, trust in the Lord in all things. My presumption (I reserve the right to be wrong) is you are unfamiliar with the differences between the Kingdom of God vs the Kingdom of Heaven.

The fact they are "flipping out", shows they are nervous. And nervous & rhetoric is a "mask" for a lot of issues they have. Let's Go Yeshua! Rapture! I thought at age 7 when I Received Yeshua, I was supposed to Rapture. It is after all, the Full meaning of Salvation!

russ2700: Don’t get me wrong. I’d be happy for it to happen today. But looking at the patterns and meanings of the 4th feast I feel it likely to be on Pentecost. The red heifers will come of age next fall so the time of the covenant is at hand. A Pentecost 2021 Rapture would give the AC 4 months to rise in power and lead Israel into the Daniel 9:27 covenant which is the day the Jews get the right to build their temple.

Jesus teaches both the day and year of the rapture. You are correct about the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost). Resolve all typologies in Leviticus 23:15-22. (Must use KJV) and ensure you count 7 sabbaths, THEN count 50 days. Read Matthew 24:15-18, compare against Genesis 12:4-6 and define “Haran”, then do the math. This gets you the year.

I feel so bad for those who have NO hope in The Bride Groom coming for His Bride to save her out of the time of JACOB's trouble.

Pastor Andy have you heard of Praxeology? What are your thoughts?

I think a part of the critics on the pre-trib rapture is because they say (I do not know if it is true) that Darby was a 33 degree mason. Thank you pastor Woods for your devotion and excellent teachings.

At my most upset moment around this issue, I wish God would let enemies of rapture teaching could get their heart’s desire. But, forgive them Lord. Unless they MOCK your blessed hope with hint of slime.

It does get us feeling quite uneasy and angry at times. The Lord urged me to point out that the Restrainer is the point of contention for understanding. The Restrainer takes away the 5 wise virgins. 5 foolish virgins didn't follow the supreme command of love, Jeremiah 7 God cast them from His sight. The abortionist, idolaters an oppressors who repent not.

Those who are so violently opposed to pre-trib, I wonder how the relationship with their dad was. Often, how we view God is similar to how our earthly dad was/is. To see God as someone who will leave His children (believers in Jesus as God), behind for the 7 years of tribulation... What kind of dad did they have? I think it's likely that healing needs to take place before they can see truth. It's like trying to reason with someone who is high as a kite. They have to get sober first.

I'm trying to find a refutation to 6th seal rapture but I can't find much. I am a pre-tribber but some people say the rapture is at the 6th seal or whatever. Can anyone offer some resources, please?

Those who consider pre-tribulation-ist escapist may not comprehend how bad the tribulation is going to be.

Sir, i have heard of a pastor teaching that matthew 24 was already fulfilled during the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 . That the end of the age already came as the end of the temple age. Is this correct?

@@oliverjuria993 Yes AND No as you're confusing the questions. Yes, the temple age ended with the destruction from 70AD when some apostles and other disciples were still alive. And No as Matth24 is NOT about the temple destruction period but *Luke 21* is! All of those who took these warnings literally wouldn't get trapped in Jerusalem. There was not one Christian who was killed but all of them escaped.

Hebrews 9:28 is a clear rapture scripture. I have researched both pre and mid. Blessed hope or blasted hope. Choose wisely.

Has Rick changed? I used to listen to him maybe 8-10 years ago while on road trips. I mainly listened to hear his guests, but I remember Rick as being kind. It’s sad to hear that maybe he’s changed. :(
