The most famous of E. Nesbit's children's novels is less fantastical than the others, but still somewhat magical in its way - a tale of children raised in wealth and comfort who experience a reduction in circumstances but soon find a new community and find a fascination in the steam engines that run along the railway line near their home.

    You might like the short story that I've also uploaded - it's a little 'sequel', read by Bernard Cribbins returning to the role of Station Master from the film...
