Journey Into Space was a hugely popular 1950s radio series in the UK; written by Charles Chilton it ran for three series with a sequel/revival plays in 1981 and 2008. A final entry in the saga came in 2009 with The Host, written by Julian Simpson. This one is a stand-alone adventure that, unlike previous plays, doesn't follow on from the original series but rather reinvents it. Nonetheless its not trying to be radical or far beyond the original (now nostalgic) style of space adventure in rocket ships...
