Julian Simpson's tale of a young woman who descends into murder will ring some interesting bells for fans of his 'Lovecraft Investigations' series - because it's set in the exclusive village of Pleasant Green...

The barn! The barn is where Blake Hornsby goes during Fugue State. I wonder if what happened in this show in a way affects the events of FS - and why it eventually ceased to ever exist.

Julian Simpson had a memorable hissy fit a while back when a couple of the actors involved in his productions were rash enough to criticise the standard of scripts they had to work with . Caused a few ripples in Thespian circles . Julian being of the school that believes actors should just read the lines and not bump into the furniture. Very temperamental these artistic types.....?

I've just discovered his plays- I have so enjoyed the Lovecraft and Aldritch Kemp stories. Great actors, esp. Kennedy Fisher and Matthew. I can't see anything wrong with his scripts- at least Jana interprets them well. He does rely on good actors though, otherwise the plays would seem disjointed.

I agree re the leads (Jana particularly - it's odd to think I only knew her previously as somebody who got exterminated by a flying dalek), though Nicola Walker seems to do incredible amounts of heavy lifting in the Lovecraft Investigations. So much of her material seems to be exposition, but she works magic with it.
